The Opportunity
Western Sydney University Business School is seeking a Senior Lecturer/Lecturer to join the Business Technology and Analytics Discipline. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an AACSB-accredited Business School committed to excellence in teaching, research, industry engagement and societal impact.
The Business Technology and Analytics Discipline is a dynamic, forward-looking academic team undertaking applied and impactful research examining how artificial intelligence, business analytics and digital technologies enable novel operating models, capabilities and innovation to transform organisations, decision-making and work.
In this role, you will contribute to high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the Discipline, design and coordinate subjects, support curriculum innovation and student success, and help ensure programs remain contemporary, research-informed and industry-relevant.
You will build and sustain an active research profile, engage in research and scholarly activity within the Discipline, produce high-quality research outputs, lead and contribute to research projects, pursue competitive research funding, and supervise Higher Degree Research (HDR) candidates.
You will play an active role in strengthening the Discipline's connections with industry, government and professional communities, creating opportunities for collaborative research, industry-engaged education and broader impact.
What Success Looks Like:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the Discipline.
- Lead and contribute to curriculum development across Business Analytics and AI Management programs.
- Build and maintain a strong research profile through high-quality publications aligned to the Discipline and competitive grants.
- Foster industry and professional partnerships that enhance research, teaching, and student employability outcomes.

About You
- A PhD in a relevant field, with demonstrated expertise in the application of advanced data analytics and AI in organisational contexts.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching, curriculum design and development.
- An established research profile with evidence of high-quality journal publications including ABDC A/A* ranked journals.
- Demonstrated ability to attract external research funding.
- Experience in supervising HDR candidates.
- Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with research, community, industry, government and professional partners.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in teams.
