Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.</p>
<p data-path-to-node="4">We're seeking an experienced Logistics and Trade Compliance Analyst to manage end-to-end customs clearance and regulatory compliance for both inbound and outbound shipments. This role owns the accuracy and efficiency of our cross-border logistics operations, working closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and internal stakeholders (GSM, MPM, Production) to ensure timely clearance while minimizing compliance risk and duty exposure.</p>
<p data-path-to-node="5">The ideal candidate brings strong international logistics and trade compliance expertise, along with the ability to apply AI/data analytics tools to improve classification accuracy, flag anomalies, and streamline logistics operations.</p>
<p data-path-to-node="6"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<p data-path-to-node="7">• Coordinate end-to-end international shipping operations across ocean, air, and ground freight, managing multiple carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PLs across regions</p>
<p data-path-to-node="8">• Manage logistics documentation (bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin) to support smooth cross-border movement</p>
<p data-path-to-node="9">• Track shipments proactively across the supply chain, resolving delays, routing issues, or carrier exceptions before they impact delivery timelines</p>
<p data-path-to-node="10">• Coordinate with overseas suppliers, vendors, and regional logistics partners to align shipping schedules, Incoterms, and documentation requirements</p>
<p data-path-to-node="11">• Optimize freight costs and transit times by evaluating carrier performance, routing options, and mode of transport (air vs. ocean vs. ground)</p>
<p data-path-to-node="12">• Manage import customs clearance process, ensuring accurate HTS classification, valuation, and country-of-origin determinations</p>
<p data-path-to-node="13">• Review and audit customs entries filed by brokers for accuracy; resolve discrepancies with CBP or other customs authorities</p>
<p data-path-to-node="14">• Track and reconcile tariff classifications against product changes/updates from engineering or procurement</p>
<p data-path-to-node="15">• Manage export documentation, licensing determinations (ECCN/EAR, ITAR if applicable), and screening against denied party lists</p>
<p data-path-to-node="16">• Ensure compliance with export control regulations (BIS, OFAC, State Department where relevant)</p>
<p data-path-to-node="17">• Coordinate with freight forwarders on export declarations (EEI/AES filings) and required certificates of origin</p>
<p data-path-to-node="18">• Manage compliance and logistics requirements for Dangerous Goods (specifically Lithium-Ion Batteries)</p>
<p data-path-to-node="19">• Use AI-powered tools and data analytics platforms to support HTS classification accuracy, duty spend analysis, and trade data reconciliation</p>
<p data-path-to-node="20">• Build or utilize dashboards/models to detect anomalies in customs entries, shipment delays, or compliance exceptions before they become issues</p>
<p data-path-to-node="21">• Apply predictive analytics to forecast duty costs, tariff exposure, and clearance timelines for supply chain planning</p>
<p data-path-to-node="22">• Use data-driven insights to identify process inefficiencies and recommend automation opportunities across inbound/outbound workflows</p>
<p data-path-to-node="23"><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>
<p data-path-to-node="24">• 5-7 years of proven experience in tracking, tracing, and managing international freight operations (ocean, air, ground) and working with global carriers, forwarders, and 3PLs</p>
<p data-path-to-node="25">• Strong working knowledge of Customs clearance requirements in the USA, HTS classification, import/export regulations, section 301, and section 232</p>
<p data-path-to-node="26">• Strong analytical skills; comfortable auditing entries, reconciling data, and identifying trends</p>
<p data-path-to-node="27">• Excellent cross-functional communication—this role interfaces with internal and external stakeholders regularly, working across multiple time zones and cultures with overseas suppliers/partners</p>
<p data-path-to-node="28"><strong>Bonus Qualifications:</strong></p>
<p data-path-to-node="29">• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, international business, or a related engineering/analytical field</p>
<p data-path-to-node="30">• Hands-on experience applying AI/data analytics tools in a logistics and trade compliance context<br><br></p>
<p>The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $120,000 - $175,000 annually.</p>
