<p><strong>How We Work</strong><strong><br></strong>We build and scale mobile apps used by 15,000+ restaurants, shipping multiple times a day with strong tooling and observability. &nbsp;We're AI-forward, moving quickly, and focused on building reliable software that solves real problems for restaurateurs.</p> <div><strong>What You'll Do</strong></div> <ul> <li><strong>Fix it, Ship it, Own it.</strong> You'll take ownership of mobile features from concept to production, delivering high-quality experiences across our mobile platform</li> <li>Build and iterate quickly by breaking work into small, shippable increments, using modern tooling (including AI) to move faster and smarter</li> <li>Collaborate closely with your team to design scalable solutions, contribute thoughtful code reviews, and continuously improve how we build</li> <li>Ship with quality, testing, performance, and reliability are built into your process, not added later</li> <li>Raise the bar by mentoring others and helping evolve our engineering standards, tooling, and ways of working</li> </ul> <div><strong>What You Bring</strong></div> <ul> <li>5+ years building and shipping production mobile applications, with clear ownership of features from concept to production</li> <li>Deep expertise in either: <ul> <li>React Native, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript mobile architectures, or</li> <li>Native Android development using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks</li> </ul> </li> <li>Strong understanding of mobile system design, including networking, offline support, caching strategies, and performance optimization</li> <li>Experience designing and integrating robust RESTful APIs, with a focus on reliability and scalability</li> <li>Solid experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and production monitoring</li> <li>Comfortable working in large, complex codebases and driving improvements to code quality, architecture, and developer experience</li> <li>Experience using observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Sentry, Grafana, or similar) to proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and improve production systems</li> <li>Strong communicator who can mentor junior developers, provide thoughtful code reviews, and influence technical direction</li> <li>Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, agile environments, breaking down complex problems and driving execution with minimal oversight</li> </ul> <div>Nice To Have</div> <ul> <li>Experience working across both React Native and native Android (Kotlin) or iOS</li> <li>Experience scaling applications with high user volume or transaction throughput</li> <li>Exposure to performance monitoring and optimization at scale</li> <li>Experience improving developer tooling, build systems, or mobile architecture</li> <li>Experience with modern Android technologies such as Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and Android Architecture Components</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><em>As part of Ontario’s Pay Transparency requirements, TouchBistro is committed to open and equitable compensation practices.
