Create your best future and join Westpac as a Senior Portfolio Resource Analyst.

This role will play a crucial part of the UNITE team. UNITE is our business-led, tech-enabled transformation, and a key priority for the Group. UNITE is about delivering 'one best way' to make our processes, systems and tech simpler so we can deliver a better experience for our customers and make things easier for our people.

  • Location: Sydney-based role only
  • On-site Requirement: 3 days per week in the office
  • Duration:  Secondment / Fixed-term or maximum-term contract role

What’s the role?

As Senior Portfolio Resource Analyst, you will own enterprise resource and capacity management for UNITE, providing a single, trusted view of demand, supply, and utilisation to support prioritisation, funding decisions, and delivery confidence. You will play a key role within IMO Operations, partnering across Delivery, Finance, and Technology to align workforce, financial, and delivery planning into a cohesive portfolio view.

Additionally, you will define and operate the portfolio resource and capacity management framework, governing demand, supply, and utilisation planning on a monthly and quarterly cadence. You will lead data integrity, drive adoption of resource management practices, and work closely with Delivery teams to validate forecasts, identify gaps, and address over-allocation risks.

You will provide scenario modelling to support prioritisation and trade-offs; embed actionable resource insights into executive reporting and governance; and enable informed decision-making to improve delivery outcomes and portfolio performance.

What do I need?

  • Strong experience in PMO, portfolio, or resource management within financial services or highly regulated environments.
  • Proven expertise in enterprise‑level capacity planning and workforce optimisation.
  • Proficient in Planview or similar portfolio and resource management tools.
  • Ability to align financial planning with delivery outcomes across complex programmes.
  • Experience working across Agile, hybrid, or mixed delivery environments.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability across senior audiences.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience in scenario modelling and decision support.
