Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for providing essential support to the Commercial, Pricing, and Finance teams in the execution of global pricing operations. A key focus of the role is the calculation, validation, and revision of Price Adjustment Formulas (PAFs), which are critical to ensuring timely inflation recovery for contracted customers. You will get involved in direct interaction with sales, procurement and finance teams across O-I’s global locations, as well as with customers, requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to ensure pricing accuracy and alignment with contractual term.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute Price Adjustment Formulas (PAFs): Accurately calculate final PAFs in accordance with customer contract terms and ensure timely communication of results to account managers and the finance team
  • Forecast and Visibility: Provide monthly estimates and visibility of upcoming PAFs to support financial planning and commercial decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Ensure all relevant stakeholders understand and apply PAFs correctly, in line with contractual guidelines. Deliver training and ongoing support as needed.
  • Scenario Simulation: Support and simulate various PAF scenarios to inform new negotiations and strategic pricing decisions.
  • Process Automation: Contribute to the automation of PAF processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and process standardization.
  • Contract Compliance Support: Assist the commercial organization in ensuring adherence to contract terms, including natural gas pass-through.
  • Standardization and Continuous Improvement: Maintain and continuously improve PAF standards, ensuring their integration into new negotiations and pricing frameworks.
  • Market Analysis: Track inflation trends using internal and external sources, and analyze the correlation between PAF results and business-perceived inflation.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain pricing exhibits for contracts, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Pricing tool (PFx) Support: Provide day to day support to commercial and finance teams on the use of the pricing tool (Pricefx), addressing user questions, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring correct application of pricing processes.
  • Audit Support: Support internal and external audits related to PAFs by providing required documentation, data validation, and process walkthroughs, ensuring transparency and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
  • English advanced
  • 2+ years of experience in Finance or Pricing roles
  • Tools Proficiency: Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word and Basic Knowledge in SAP, Tableau, Power BI, Tagetik
  • Results focused with a solid process mindset. 
  • Adaptable and enjoys challenges. 
  • Organize, prioritize and execute multi-task duties & projects. 
  • Self-driven and accountable, works independently with strong ownership
