Senior Product Analyst (TeamCity)

The next step is deepening the role of data in the product team's day-to-day decisions.</p> <p><br>We are currently looking for a <strong>Senior Product Analyst</strong> to join the team and support these efforts. You will be part of the Data Analytics team within JetBrains Central, while working as a dedicated analyst embedded in the TeamCity product team.</p> <h3>In this role, you will:</h3> <ul> <li>Be fully integrated into the product team, collaborating with product managers, developers, and other technical experts.</li> <li>Perform ad hoc data analysis to support product decisions, from exploring user behavior to validating assumptions behind new feature development.</li> <li>Establish and promote best practices for working with data within the team, including event logging design, consistency, and data quality.</li> <li>Maintain and develop the product metrics framework to evaluate product performance.</li> <li>Build and maintain dashboards with product metrics using BI tools such as Metabase or Tableau.</li> <li>Evaluate the outcomes of product releases, analyzing what occurred after a new feature was launched.</li> <li>Conduct research analytics, such as investigating hypotheses and explaining why one metric decreased while another increased after a release.</li> <li>Design and implement ETL pipelines and data models to enable complete, end-to-end analytics coverage.</li> </ul> <h3>We value product analysts who:</h3> <ul> <li>Operate independently and manage stakeholder expectations<strong> </strong>– as the first dedicated analyst on the team, you will help shape a data-informed culture and establish how the team works with data.</li> <li>Proactively<strong> </strong>identify areas for product improvement, raise questions, and address existing challenges.&nbsp;</li> <li>Can distill complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.</li> <li>Have a solid foundation in statistics, including sampling techniques and understanding sampling errors, since data is gathered from a sample of product users.</li> <li>Have data engineering skills, including experience designing ETLs and data pipelines to enable the creation of complete, end-to-end dashboards.</li> </ul> <h3>We’ll be happy to have you on our team if you have:&nbsp;</h3> <ul> <li>Expertise in statistics and data analysis.</li> <li>Extensive experience with SQL and Python.</li> <li>At least two years of experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other BI tools.</li> <li>Strong data visualization and interpretation skills.</li> </ul> <h3>We’d be especially thrilled if you:&nbsp;</h3> <ul> <li>Have experience working with developer tools, DevOps products, or CI/CD workflows.</li> <li>Have a background in A/B testing or experiment design.</li> <li>Have experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate data analysis and analytics workflows.</li> </ul> <h3>In the Data Analytics team, we use:&nbsp;</h3> <ul> <li>SQL for data querying.</li> <li>Python for data processing and analysis.</li> <li>Tableau and Metabase for data visualization.</li> <li>Datalore and Excel for analytical reports.</li> </ul> <p><span style="color: rgb(236, 240, 241);">#LI-MR1</span></p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>We are an equal opportunity employer</strong><br><br>We know great ideas can come from anyone, anywhere.
