About the role
As a key member of the Perpetual Private Investment Research team, you will contribute to the management of multi-manager Real Assets and Growth Asset classes strategies, including private markets, while supporting broader growth asset class research. You'll research investment managers and opportunities, contribute to portfolio design and management, and help deliver high-quality investment outcomes and solutions for clients. Experience in other asset classes will also be considered.
Role responsibilities include:
Research, assess and recommend investment managers and opportunities across Real Assets, Equities, Growth Alternatives and Responsible Investment strategies.
Monitor and maintain the Approved Product List (APL) and contribute to portfolio construction and manager selection decisions.
Support the design, review and ongoing management of implemented and model portfolios.
Prepare and present investment research and recommendations to Investment Committees and contribute to Board and committee papers.
Participate in strategic and dynamic asset allocation discussions and contribute to Perpetual Private's investment strategy and House View.
Deliver investment communications, presentations and technical support to advisers and clients.
About you
Relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, Economics, Business, Finance, Science, Mathematics or a related discipline.
Postgraduate investment qualifications such as CFA, CAIA, MBA or Master of Applied Finance.
5-10+ years' experience in investment research, preferably within a multi-manager or dealer group environment.
Demonstrated experience across Real Estate, Infrastructure, Equities, Growth Alternatives or related asset classes.
Strong portfolio construction, analytical, modelling and quantitative skills, with knowledge of ESG and Responsible Investing principles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and take ownership of investment decisions.
