We are looking for software engineers excited by the opportunity to improve health care in far-reaching ways.  In this role, you will be joining a team tasked with developing a scalable platform and services that enable customers to gain insights through our research platform or develop their own applications while preserving patient privacy. This position requires innovative problem-solving to design high-performance, cost-effective data services capable of handling and de-identifying large-scale datasets. The efficiency and correctness of these services is essential to advancing our mission to save lives with data.  We are seeking backend engineers who: <ul> <li>Have proven experience building reliable, secure and scalable software solutions using modern cloud-based paradigms. </li> <li>Are quick learners knowing how to iterate and evolve a distributed software solution while carefully balancing the needs of privacy, security and reliability against a changing product landscape.  </li> <li>Have knowledge and experience in using and designing distributed systems, data pipelines, APIs. </li> <li>Build simple and effective solutions for complex problems. </li> <li>Can contribute to a positive work environment. </li> <li>Strict adherence to Truveta principles in support of ethical innovation.  </li> <li>Willingness to commit to ongoing training on key topics like privacy, ethics, and security.  </li> </ul> Key Qualifications:  <ul> <li>5+ years of experience building production quality software in a team setting </li> <li>4+ years of experience working on cloud-native platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) </li> <li>Experience building cloud services or data programming languages like Java, Python, or C# </li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills </li> <li>BS. or MS. in Computer Science or related field </li> <li>Prior work with any of the following is a plus  <ul> <li>Containers, Kubernetes </li> <li>Modern DevOps practices like Infrastructure as Code and CI / CD pipelines </li> <li>Implementing Web Services </li> <li>Spark </li> <li>Statistics, health data, and privacy </li> </ul> </li> </ul> Why Truveta? The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target. Pay is based on several factors including location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
