As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. You should have a passion for development and an eagerness to learn new things and improve your skills. You will be a part of a team that collaborates well, works hard and has fun to bring the product visions to life, giving power to medium and large organizations to reduce their environmental footprints and save the world. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop & publish Power BI Reports.

  • Develop Power BI Data models and recommend best practices for report creation and visualizations.

  • Implement row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.

  • Integrate Dashboards into applications using Embedded Analytics.

  • Collaborate with product owners to gather business requirements for Analytics and Reporting

  • Provide guidance to BI developers in the team.

  • Troubleshoot reporting issues and tune report performance.

  • Build and modify tables, views and optimize SQL queries, indexes as needed.

  • Responsible for implementing security on developed Dashboards in accordance with security and access requirements.

  • Ensure agile/scrum practices are followed during the development process.

  • Evaluate self-service reporting and dashboard tool.

  • Develop standard report, custom reports.

  • Develop DAX expressions as per needs.

Skills:

  • Minium 8+ years of experience with Power BI reports development.

  • Experience in writing DAX expressions

  • Experience in troubleshooting performance issues in reports.

  • Should have knowledge of query performance tuning, indexes as well as understanding of database structure.

  • Knowledge of data modeling and data warehouse. 

  • Knowledge of various databases like MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle etc.

  • SQL knowledge – experience is developing complex SQL queries, Stored Procedures.

  • Passionate about complex data structures and problem solving.

  • Ability to pick up new data tools and concepts quickly.

Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related software engineering experience
