If this sounds like you, let’s build something great together.  What You’ll Do 🚀 📍This position will be located at our Corporate Office: 2355 W Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85027     The Senior Systems Analyst conducts testing, monitoring, and provides product and technical support of Credit Union financial core banking systems and third-party automation applications. The position participates in product development effort and serves as an active team member on Credit Union projects and serves as an escalation point for the Service Desk and Application Administrators on automation and batch processing.  The Senior System Analyst supports nightly/monthly processing and financial system upgrades. The position participates in rotational on-call support during weekends and as needed for Credit Union system and associated subsystems and third-party applications. The Senior System Analyst assists management and business owners in the planning, supporting, and implementing of a standardized process for system job processing and automation for proper functioning, upgrading, troubleshooting, configuration monitoring, and security settings. Responsibilities also include evaluating current automation processes and making efficiency recommendations for batch and automation while assessing operational impact and mitigation strategies. Essential Functions <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ensures compliance with applicable policies, laws, and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, USA Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Collects information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Configures, troubleshoots, maintains, and provides feedback regarding the core financial systems, associated subsystems, and various 3rd party applications.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Prepares detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining system capabilities and processes.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Conducts technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time requirements, and compatibility with current system</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Plans, coordinates, and implements products and systems upgrades as needed.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Plans, coordinates, implements, and assists in final testing of new Credit Union products, projects, and major system releases.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Assists the Service Desk and System Analysts with escalated problems and provides training where needed.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Analyzes, creates, and maintains production schedules through automation scheduling system.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ensures work performed in IT Operations is fully documented, analyzed, and properly maintained.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Selects among authorized procedures and seeks assistance when guidelines are inadequate, significant deviations are proposed, or when unanticipated problems arise.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Analyzes and evaluates present or proposed business procedures, processes, or problems to define data processing needs.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Assists with annual disaster recovery testing and analyzes the final results.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Communicates with vendors and project managers regarding software/hardware issues and follows up to ensure the “hot” fixes are received and tested timely and properly</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Analyzes and solves end-user problems that appear to arise from the use of the product.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Completes, maintains, and processes pertinent paperwork and database records.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ensures daily, monthly, quarterly, and periodic processing are completed without incident.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Monitors system activity and corrects any problems that occur.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Responsible for automation system security and maintenance of user system access.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Performs routine system audits and system performance tuning.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Provides suggestions to management concerning cost savings and potential system changes to increase efficiency of identified systems. Assists in preparing cost-benefit analyses for proposed systems.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Reviews automation system capabilities and workflow limitations to determine if requested automation changes are possible within the system</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Studies existing systems and/or applications to evaluate effectiveness and develops new procedures to improve production or workflow as required.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Develops new scripts/automation, creates test transactions, and validates the results.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Responsible for representing IT Operations on strategic projects and reporting back to management.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Responsible for department projects and reporting to management, including development of project plans specifying goals, strategy, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, allocation of available resources and implementation.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Responsible for health and growth of existing automation operations environment and provided feedback regarding health and capacity of automation and financial systems.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Documents changes and follows change control management procedures.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Participates in the planning and implementation of application migrations from a mixed technology environment.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ensures all hardware and software issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Assists the infrastructure, application, system administrators, engineers, development, and service desk teams with escalated tickets.</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Evaluates and recommends new technologies based on detailed business requirements provided by team members.</li> </ul> What You Bring 🎯 <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">High School Diploma Required</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Required</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">5 to 8 years of similar or related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required</li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Previous experience in the financial industry.
