Senior Technical Business Analyst

At Westpac, Technology is at the centre of everything we do. As we continue modernising our integration ecosystem and accelerating our AI-led engineering capabilities, we are looking for a highly capable Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our Enterprise Integrations team.
This is not a traditional BA role as you will operate at the intersection of business strategy, architecture, engineering, and delivery, partnering with stakeholders across Westpac to help shape and deliver the next generation of enterprise integration capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Drive technical requirement elicitation and analysis across enterprise-wide integration platforms.
- Translate complex business needs into implementable technical solutions.
- Partner with technology leaders to modernise legacy integration services and support strategic API and microservices adoption.
- Lead workshops, facilitate decision making, and influence outcomes across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Support delivery through requirements of lifecycle management, testing, implementation, and change activities.
- Provide thought leadership across process improvement, solution evaluation, and delivery governance.
You will join a highly specialised team responsible for some of Westpac's most critical integration services. You will work directly with software engineers, architects, and technology leaders to deliver strategic platforms that support the bank's future technology landscape.
Essential Skills, Experience & Attributes
- Strong Technical BA experience in complex enterprise environments. Proven exposure to integration, middleware, API, or distributed systems initiatives.
- Deep understanding of requirements elicitation, lifecycle management, and solution evaluation.
- Experience partnering with architecture, engineering, and vendor teams.
- Ability to bridge technical and business conversations with credibility.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement capability.
- Confident workshop facilitation and influencing skills.
- Ability to challenge constructively and drive outcomes.
- Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Natural collaborator who builds trusted relationships across large organisations.
