Senior Workday Developer / Analyst (Security & Governance)

This role serves as a bridge between HR business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, owning end-to-end solution design and architecture across Workday HCM Security.  This role combines deep functional knowledge with hands on technical capability to design scalable, compliant, and efficient enterprise solutions.

Location: Kraków

Hybrid model: Hybrid model 3 days per week in the office /2 days for a parent of a child up to 4 years old

Key Responsibilities

Functional Configuration

  • Lead security solution design across Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Recruiting, Talent, and Payroll modules.
  • Partner with HR teams to translate business requirements into scalable Workday security configurations.
  • Design, develop, and support Workday Security functionality including creating and maintaining security groups, user and role-based security assignments and updating domain security, authentication and proxy policies as needed.
  • Conduct security impact assessments for releases, enhancements, and regulatory changes.
  • Follow SDLC framework for enhancements and projects.

Security Architecture, Controls & Governance

  • Own security governance frameworks for access, role rationalization, and audit readiness.​
  • Conduct regular audits on Workday access to ensure accuracy and compliance and respond to requests for security audits as needed working with our HR, HR Risk or leadership teams
  • Actively pursue innovative initiatives and improvements in current Workday security processes.
  • Act as the Workday Security subject matter expert whether working on your own development projects or through providing guidance and training to internal Workday Security team.

Required Experience

  • 4+ years of Workday experience in HCM security
  • Experience in Workday configuration preferred, with a strong understanding of HR processes and procedures
  • Experience in data governance and security best practices
  • Experience operating in regulated or compliance-driven environments
