Job Description

Reporting to the Front of House Management Team the Server Assistants play a key support role in the guest experience by maintaining a clean, organized dining environment and assisting Servers in delivering seamless service. With strong attention to detail and a high level of floor awareness, they ensure all tables are properly set and that food and beverage service is executed to standard.

The day to day:

Answer questions about food, beverages, wine and other restaurant functions and services when necessary
Assist with food running, ensuring that plates arrive to the proper guest (no auctioning off)
Monitor the cleanliness of section and ensure all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter
Communicate with Servers and Hosts to maximize seating
Practice a high level of floor awareness and clear/clean as required
Ensure that condiments are pre-portioned and the fridges are stocked with milk, cream, butter etc.
Monitor food quality and presentation standards
Follow all food safety standards and systems
Empty garbage, change linen bags and dispose of garbage and recycling
Communicate to all Servers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive, memorable experience
Other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications

Smart Serve Certification (required)
Exceptional attention to detail and cleanliness standards
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Capable of taking direction, prioritizing tasks, and working efficiently
Clear and professional oral communication skills
Solid knowledge of food and beverage offerings, with a willingness to learn
Demonstrates a consistent sense of professional urgency and momentum in service delivery
Flexible availability evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Legally eligible to work in Canada
