Job Description

Reporting to the Front of House Management Team the Server Assistants play a key support role in the guest experience by maintaining a clean, organized dining environment and assisting Servers in delivering seamless service. With strong attention to detail and a high level of floor awareness, they ensure all tables are properly set and that food and beverage service is executed to standard.

The day to day:

  • Answer questions about food, beverages, wine and other restaurant functions and services when necessary
  • Assist with food running, ensuring that plates arrive to the proper guest (no auctioning off)
  • Monitor the cleanliness of section and ensure all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter
  • Communicate with Servers and Hosts to maximize seating
  • Practice a high level of floor awareness and clear/clean as required
  • Ensure that condiments are pre-portioned and the fridges are stocked with milk, cream, butter etc.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation standards
  • Follow all food safety standards and systems
  • Empty garbage, change linen bags and dispose of garbage and recycling
  • Communicate to all Servers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive, memorable experience
  • Other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications

  • Smart Serve Certification (required)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and cleanliness standards
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Capable of taking direction, prioritizing tasks, and working efficiently
  • Clear and professional oral communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of food and beverage offerings, with a willingness to learn
  • Demonstrates a consistent sense of professional urgency and momentum in service delivery
  • Flexible availability evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada

Wage: $17.60 + shared gratuities
