Signals Analyst
Description
Markon is seeking a Signals Analyst 2 to support the Fort Meade customer by conducting advanced radio frequency (RF) signal analysis in support of mission-critical intelligence operations. This role is responsible for analyzing signal characteristics, determining signal structure, defining signal parameters, and modeling signal behavior across a variety of communication and non-communication signal types. The role works closely with engineers, analysts, and mission stakeholders to support target development, waveform analysis, and technical intelligence production.
Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced RF signal analysis to characterize and identify complex signal emissions
- Analyze signal structure, define signal parameters, and model signal behavior
- Perform technical analysis of COMINT, ELINT, FISINT, and/or PROFORMA data
- Conduct waveform, bitstream, and protocol analysis to support mission objectives
- Support target development through technical signal characterization and analysis
- Analyze Foreign Satellite (FORNSAT) communications and associated signal activity
- Develop technical documentation, reports, and briefings to communicate analytical findings
- Collaborate with engineers and intelligence analysts to develop mission-focused technical solutions
- Research emerging signal technologies and recommend improvements to analytical methodologies
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph with this Customer
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience; Master's degree and 3+ years; Doctoral degree and 2+ years; or Associate's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience. Equivalent military training and experience may be substituted in accordance with contract requirements.
- Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physical Science, or a related technical discipline. Additional degree fields may be considered with relevant military training.
- Experience conducting RF signal analysis with expertise in one or more of the following: COMINT, ELINT, FISINT, or PROFORMA
- Experience analyzing signal characteristics, signal structure, waveform behavior, and bitstreams
- Experience supporting target development and technical intelligence analysis
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Expertise in multiple signal analysis disciplines, including COMINT, ELINT, FISINT, and PROFORMA
- Experience analyzing FORNSAT communications and satellite signal activity
- Completion of military signal analysis training programs such as MCSAP, MESAP, MOSAP, or equivalent
- Experience supporting Intelligence Community or Department of Defense signals intelligence missions
Salary Range
USD $110,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
