Software Data Engineer - AI/ML/LLM - 2+ yrs of Experience - TS/SCI w/Poly Required Halogen Engineering is looking for a Software Engineer who will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based upon AI-related requirements. You will develop software solutions for AI-driven automation and efficiency gains, and design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML models and tools tailored to the operational needs of the customer. You will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement mission requirements into technical solutions. Location: Fort Meade, MD Travel Required: No Shift: Day Remote Type: Onsite Security Clearance: Current TS/SCI Polygraph: Required Salary Range The projected compensation range for this position is 142K-146K (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements Requirements Individual Capabilities/Experience Required: Two (2) years of demonstrated experience in Software Engineering with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or appropriate field from an accredited college or university; or zero (0) years of experience with a qualifying Master's or PhD degree. Three (3) years of Software Engineering experience with a high school diploma or GED would also be acceptable. Experience with Prompt Engineering and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired: Able to work in a collaborative environment as a team player.
