We take pride in building quality software using industry recognized best practices alongside modern technologies. The ideal candidate will enjoy taking on high-impact projects and executing them with a focus on product and system design across the stack.  You will primarily focus on helping to lead the development of two data-intensive, internally built applications:  <ul> <li>A real time SCADA data monitoring platform </li> <li>A real time energy trading platform </li> </ul> Key Responsibilities  <ul> <li>Assist with the architectural design and implementation of product features based on business requirements provided by internal teams. </li> <li>Design intuitive user interfaces for our data-intensive products with a focus on providing a clean and friendly user experience. </li> <li>Flex up and down the stack, from database optimization and schema design to frontend UI design. </li> <li>Maintain existing application cloud infrastructure and help to improve resiliency and efficiency. </li> <li>Partner with data science teams to deploy and monitor predictive models. </li> <li>Implement and maintain quality assurance processes, including testing. </li> <li>Develop and uphold best practices, coding standards, and development processes for the team. </li> </ul> Required Qualifications  <ul> <li>You have at least 2 years’ experience as a Software Developer </li> <li>You are willing to explore problems and solve them yourself — as part of a small team, self-sufficient problem solving is critical. </li> <li>Feel comfortable expressing your opinions and suggesting solutions to any problems you identify. </li> <li>You place a strong emphasis on implementing features correctly vs quickly, and minimizing technical debt. </li> <li>You thrive working on small teams and being given a lot of autonomy. </li> <li>You are willing to explore all layers of the stack to solve the problem the right way. </li> <li>Experience building complex single-page applications; experience working on UI/UX for data-intensive software is a big plus. </li> <li>Experience working with backend systems processing large volumes of data is also a big plus.</li> </ul> Technical skills and tools  <ul> <li>Languages: Python, Javascript </li> <li>Frontend Stack: React, Vite, Redux </li> <li>Backend Stack: AWS, Django REST framework, Docker, MongoDB, Snowflake, TimescaleDB (Postgres) </li> <li>Tooling: GitHub, CircleCI, Terraform </li> </ul> Why Join Arevon?
