Job Description

The Media Measurement team is seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst to join our organization. In this role, you will help transform large and complex datasets into meaningful insights that drive business decisions, product improvements, and operational excellence. You will work closely with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Operations teams across the world to investigate data irregularities, support dashboard creation and client facing reporting. You will be at the forefront of investigating issues and incidents resulting in missing or incomplete data to help explain the variations based on insights and even identifying the root cause of such issues or narrowing it down to a particular part of the pipeline.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and actionable business insights.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reporting.
  • Create and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and KPIs using Amazon QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Monitor data quality, perform data validation, and implement data cleansing processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of reporting.
  • Communicate analytical findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Define, track, and report key business metrics to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Automate recurring analyses and reporting processes using SQL, Python, and other relevant technologies where applicable.
  • Support ETL processes, data pipeline validation, and data warehouse reporting requirements.
  • Utilize cloud-based analytics platforms and datasets, with preference for AWS environments.
  • Work with Git/GitHub and CI/CD practices to maintain analytical assets and ensure reproducibility of data solutions.
  • Assist in workflow orchestration and monitoring using tools such as Apache Airflow and support DAG development when required.
  • Continuously learn and adopt new tools, technologies, and analytical techniques to expand capabilities and support evolving business needs.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Quicksight or Tableau
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and identify meaningful trends, patterns, and insights
  • Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and data cleaning techniques
  • Experience creating dashboards, reports, and performance metrics for business stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business questions into analytical solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to non-technical audiences
  • Understanding of key business metrics and performance indicators
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and gathering stakeholder requirements
  • Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, etc.) for data analysis and automation is a plus
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, actionable insights
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure or GCP)
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and basic data warehousing concepts
  • Experience with DevOps tools like git, github and CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of Airflow or having worked on creating DAGs is a plus
  • Experience working in Agile environments and using project management tools such as Jira
  • Open to learn new skills and technologies over time to expand the scope and provide support on broader issues
