Job Requirements
APL STRATEGIC SOURCING ANALYST TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers, and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. The candidate will engage with all functions to drive time-to-market improvement on NPI projects. The candidate will work cross-functionally to drive multi-year strategies and accelerate business improvement opportunities within the supply base, including strategic and tactical initiatives. The candidate will work across the ACL team to address gaps and provide solutions for critical commodities, NPI or tooling needs to support the business. This role will be critical to exceeding established inventory, productivity, quality, and delivery goals.
Major Target:
The Strategic Sourcing Analyst is responsible for defining and implementing sourcing strategies for assigned commodities within global Private/Brand Label (PBL) procurement team and suppliers to reach the respective sourcing targets in delivery, productivity, cost, and quality. Moreover, this position is responsible for supplier negotiations, supplier capacity management, and supplier compliance with relevant TE requirements. Responsibilities:
• Manage all other procurement activities in the APL product line related to NPI, product migrations, supplier management issues, contracting, & quotes.

Responsible for supporting Strategic Procurement activities for the ACL sector.
•
Manage all procurement activities related to supplier management issues, contracting, & quoting.
•
Identify and select strategic suppliers within the business unit and company’s footprint/localization goals. Work with supplier quality, engineering, and supply chain functions to develop these suppliers to support ACL requirements.
• Engage with new Product Development teams & manage the NPI procurement activities.
• Develop and collaborate with global commodity management to roll out multi-year commodity strategies for the region & execute a plan.
• Identify and select strategic suppliers within the business unit and company’s footprint/ localization goals. Work with supplier quality, engineering, and supply chain functions to develop these suppliers to support ACL requirements.
• Achieve critical annual procurement KPIs (Delivery, quality, productivity, Inventory, low-cost localization, payment terms, VMI, lead-time reduction, and others).
• Support the region and business unit's TEOA-P initiatives and Star Level attainment.
• Assure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
• Provide timely and complete responses to various corporate, segment, business unit and functional support requirements. Qualifications:
• Bachelor level degree in Business, Supply Chain, Sourcing/ Procurement or related field. Advanced degree a plus.
• Self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, able to work well with international teams and individuals, not afraid to push for change

Demonstrate a track record of achieving critical annual KPIs (delivery, quality, productivity, inventory) and driving improvement in leading indicators (TEBIT pipeline, contract/VMI, etc.)

8+ years in a Strategic Procurement role.
•
Good English skills with fluent conversational communication ability.
•
Willingness to travel (25% travel) throughout the AP region.
•
Strong time management skills and the ability to work well to deadlines.
•
Strong interpersonal skills & the ability to influence team members.
•
Project management skills. Strong data analysis skills. Strong understanding of operational issues (Kanban, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, VA / VE, Lean).

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 8 years of experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level
