Job Summary
As an Operations Associate in Global Banking Data Hub (GBDH) Operations within Commercial and Investment Banking, you ensure timely, accurate, and controlled data quality processes on the AWS platform. You partner with global stakeholders to identify root causes, remediate issues, and improve operational cycles through disciplined execution. You maintain clear tracking and communications to support delivery, reporting, and strategic priorities.
Job Responsibilities (
- Partner with global teams to deliver timely, high-quality data to finance, operations, and technology functions
- Maintain Jira tracking in line with control standards to enable transparent status reporting
- Build strong partnerships across business, finance, operations, and technology stakeholders globally
- Communicate proactively across geographies on impacts, risks, dependencies, and deliverables
- Identify data quality and processing breaks and drive issue triage to resolution
- Analyze root causes and document outcomes to reduce repeat defects and improve controls
- Improve continually by proposing and executing process enhancements across daily operations
- Detect production bugs and coordinate remediation with stakeholders, Ops, and technology teams
- Execute testing for new functional releases to strengthen the operations cycle and data outcomes
- Monitor operational runbooks and ensure consistent adherence to operating model expectations
- Escalate promptly when risks or blockers threaten timelines, data integrity, or stakeholder commitments
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Hold a BS/BA degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Bring 3+ years of experience executing production operating models in financial services environments
- Apply strong data quality and issue-management discipline in fast-paced, high-stakes workflows
- Use Jira effectively to track work, evidence controls, and support accurate status reporting
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and SQL for analysis, reporting, and reconciliation
- Communicate clearly with geographically diverse teams and senior stakeholders
- Leverage basic AWS knowledge, including exposure to Redshift and Databricks, to support daily execution
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Demonstrate hands-on experience working in AWS environments supporting data operations
- Apply Agile ways of working to manage intake, prioritization, and iterative delivery
- Use Python to automate repeatable checks, reconciliations, or operational reporting
- Utilize Alteryx to streamline data preparation, controls evidence, or workflow efficiency
- Build Tableau dashboards to improve visibility into operational health and data quality trends
- Strengthen incident response by contributing to monitoring, alerting, and runbook improvements
- Collaborate effectively with engineering teams to translate operational issues into actionable fixes and enhancements
