Sr. Analyst, Financial Reporting

- Perform critical financial statement analysis on a quarterly basis; assist in the preparation of a quarterly balance sheet reporting package for NBCU finance leadership and Comcast
- Responsible for the collection, consolidation and analysis of financial information underlying the financial statements, footnotes and supporting schedules
- Support the Comcast SEC reporting team in all aspects of quarterly and annual SEC filings
- Work with NBCU business controllership teams to gather and support information necessary to address new accounting standard implementations
- Support the team to identify opportunities for greater transparency, consistency, and efficiencies in gathering and reporting information to support our external financial statements
- Work closely with NBCU business controllership and the NBCU Technical Accounting and Policy teams on matters impacting financial statement and footnote presentation and disclosure
- Establish and maintain a close working relationship with NBCU business unit FP&A teams. Contribute in developing responses to standard and ad-hoc inquiries and requests from NBCU finance leadership.
- Participate in ad hoc projects, including system implementations, AI and automation initiatives, supporting the corporate controllership team with technical accounting research, peer comparison disclosures, acquisitions/divestitures & due diligence activities
Qualifications
Here you'll need:
- CPA strongly preferred
- 2+ years of related work experience
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting
Desired Characteristics:
- 1+ years of public accounting experience
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and SEC accounting and disclosure standards
- Ability to take direction and work independently
- Reasoning skills and an ability to perform thorough and complex financial statement analytics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Interest in Media industry
- Internal/external financial reporting experience
- SAP & Analysis for Office “AOE” knowledge
This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the New York, NY office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary range: $80,000-$95,000.
