Our Global Operations Quality team plays a central part in ensuring our products are delivered to patients with cardiovascular disease. You’ll partner cross-functionally with manufacturing operations and sales teams, delivering thoughtful solutions to complex challenges all while developing your knowledge of the medical device industry. Whether your work includes strategic inventory planning, labeling, warehouse management, material handling, or any of our other supply chain opportunities, you will be making a meaningful contribution to our team and to patients all over the world.
How you'll make an impact:
Assess and ensure compliance for Edwards, its vendors, and Edwards entities with all government import and export laws across assigned countries and regions
Provide guidance to departments across the supply chain continuum (plan, source, make, and deliver), including clinical, sales, marketing, and legal, to manage product flow and resolve issues of increased complexity with a higher level of autonomy
Assess strategic global vendors to confirm cost, quality, delivery, technical, and service capabilities meet Edwards requirements; identify and resolve challenging supply chain issues
Develop and perform detailed, complex analysis to improve supply chain operations
Develop and lead the execution of complex supply chain projects (e.g., NPD introductions)
Create and maintain processes and procedures (e.g., SOPs, work instructions) for applicable supply chain functions
Provide training and coaching to other supply chain team members
Perform other incidental duties as assigned by leadership
What you'll need (required):
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, plus 5 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience based on Edwards criteria
Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Global Supply Chain, and Quality systems (e.g., SQMS, JDE, JDA)
This role is based onsite at our Irvine, CA campus. Candidates must be able to work onsite regularly to support business and team requirements
What else we look for (preferred):
Experience in a medical device and/or regulated industry, or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria
Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Global Supply Chain, and Quality systems (e.g., SQMS, JDE, JDA)
Full knowledge of Edwards policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to local and/or global supply chain, including FDA and ISO regulations applicable to the medical device industry
Familiarity and understanding of data analytics tools
Strong project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and relationship management
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with strict attention to detail
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Leadership, talent development, and communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams, serving as a key contact representing the organization on contracts or projects, and with vendors and suppliers
Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $81,000 to $116,000 (highly experienced).
