Sr. BI Data Analyst
Job Description
As a Senior Business Analyst on Privia Health’s Medical Economics team, you are a vital contributor responsible for delivering high-value analysis and reports. This role involves independent collaboration across the organization, working closely with cross-functional teams such as Business Intelligence, IT, Quality, Risk Adjustment, and Operations.
You will interpret evolving business needs and requirements to develop production deliverables and execute ad hoc analyses for both internal teams and payers. Utilizing data-driven insights, you will guide strategic decisions among internal and external stakeholders and address various business needs, including Flow of Funds, reporting, and analytics.
- Support market-level incentive payment distribution, including calculating bonus distributions and coordinating the distribution process in collaboration with Population Health leadership, Payer Partnerships, Accounting, BI, and Finance.
- Manage and maintain the existing suite of performance evaluations, reporting, and executive-level leading indicator analyses for Value-Based Contracts and deliverables.
- Convert business requirements into technical specifications, working comfortably across structured and unstructured data sources to create scalable analytical solutions and actionable insights.
- Partner with Data Engineering and Product teams to ensure data availability, write SQL queries to address warehouse data quality issues, and implement structured testing and data validation processes.
- Gather feedback from end users to ensure existing reporting tools align with business needs, and drive the development of new reporting tools and ad-hoc analyses.
- Collaborate independently with cross-functional teams, acting as a proactive advisor to guide strategic decision-making and enhance operational performance.
- Identify opportunities within industry, regulatory, and technical analytics trends to enhance our existing data products and reporting solutions.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field preferred (Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience, preferably in healthcare
- 4+ years’ minimum experience in analytics, business intelligence, finance, or a related quantitative function, with a demonstrated ability to lead reporting or analytics projects end-to-end, from initial scoping to stakeholder communication.
- Core Technical Skills: High proficiency in SQL with the ability to write efficient, optimized queries for large-scale datasets required.
- Strong verbal and written communication and also being able to manage up to executive leadership stakeholder is required.
- Data Modeling: Demonstrated hands-on experience with data modeling required; experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and code deployment is preferred.
- Experience in healthcare analytics, working with claims, EMR, or lab data is preferred.
- Experience with Python for analysis and report

The salary range for this role is $81,000.00 to $95,000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, and pet insurance, 401K, paid time off, and other wellness programs). This role is also eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 15% .The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location
