Summary:
Under minimal supervision, independently leads and advances data quality initiatives across the organization by implementing, enhancing, and governing enterprise data quality frameworks, methodologies, and controls.
Drives the establishment, adoption, and continuous improvement of data governance policies, standards, processes, and best practices to strengthen data quality and support business objectives across multiple domains.
Serves as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders, providing thought leadership and influencing enterprise data management and governance strategies.
Role Responsibilities:
Ability to independently engage with data owners, data consumers, custodians, and senior stakeholders across multiple domains to provide expert consultation on data quality strategy, governance practices, and implementation approaches.
Ability to partner with business stakeholders to identify, analyze, and prioritize complex business challenges, translating them into scalable data quality controls, monitoring capabilities, and measurable outcomes.
Ability to design, develop, and optimize data quality controls using SQL, Python, or similar technologies, while establishing automated monitoring, scheduling, and reporting solutions leveraging tools such as Control-M and other enterprise platforms.
Ability to develop executive-level dashboards and data visualizations using platforms such as Power BI, effectively communicating data quality trends, risks, root causes, and business impacts. Acts as a recognized subject matter expert and drives knowledge sharing across business units.
Ability to lead root cause analysis of complex data quality issues, coordinate cross-functional remediation efforts, and partner with technology teams to implement sustainable solutions at the source.
Assess, design, and implement strategies that reduce data redundancy and improve the consistency, reliability, and fitness of data used for business decision-making. Proactively recommend enhancements to business processes, controls, and monitoring frameworks.
Lead the development and enhancement of data management standards, processes, controls, and metadata assets, including business glossaries, data dictionaries, and governance repositories such as Collibra.
Lead and support governance reviews, compliance assessments, monitoring activities, and control testing to ensure ongoing adherence to enterprise data governance policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members and consultants, contributing to capability development and promoting consistent adoption of data quality and governance standards.
Influence strategic data governance initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, operational efficiencies, and enterprise-wide data quality enhancement.
The following experience is required and/or preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, or related field, with significant experience in Data Quality, Data Governance, or Enterprise Data Management.
Demonstrated experience leading data quality initiatives and working with business and technology stakeholders across multiple functional areas.
Strong experience with Collibra Data Quality, Collibra Data Catalog, or comparable enterprise data governance and metadata management platforms preferred.
Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with Python or other programming languages used for data analysis, automation, and quality monitoring.
Strong understanding of database architecture, data integration, data lineage, and data management principles.
Experience designing and developing business intelligence and data visualization solutions using Power BI, Incorta, or similar analytics platforms.
Deep knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, Master Data Management, Metadata Management, and Enterprise Data Management concepts and best practices.
Proven ability to communicate complex technical and data governance concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, drive change, and lead cross-functional initiatives with minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills required.
Recognized expertise in Data Governance and Data Quality methodologies, including experience establishing standards, controls, and monitoring frameworks.
Highly adaptable, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
