SUMMARY:

Responsible for designing, developing and maintaining data business solutions. Collaborates with key stakeholders throughout the organization to determine what reporting and analytics are needed to achieve strategic business goals. Provides system support and troubleshooting expertise as needed to analyze data solutions for validity and accuracy. Reviews and recommendations for improvements to existing data architecture.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Designs, develops and maintains Power platform dashboards (or equivalent) for executive management team to achieve strategic business objectives.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains all types of reporting derived from ERP, CRM, Operation systems to support the business.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders throughout the organization to gather and fully understand reporting and other data related requirements and needs.
  • Generate monthly insights and collaborate with the management team on how to build a stronger narrative using data.
  • Provides consultative services to key stakeholders to help them understand data analysis results and dashboards.
  • Review existing data architecture and recommend improvement opportunities.
  • Responsible for mapping key Business System data entities to SplashBI data warehouse for reporting and data analytics.
  • Identifies and understands root causes of existing data problems and proposes innovative solutions.
  • Develops architecture documentation and functional specifications for data flow analysis.
  • Provides maintenance and regulatory support in data solutions.
  • Will be required to perform other job duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

 

  • 5-10 years' experience in architecting and implementing Business Intelligence and data warehouse platforms.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices around data architecture in cloud-based solutions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of data warehousing and data transformation (extract, transform and load) processes and supporting technologies such as PowerBI, SplashBI, Oracle and MS SQL.
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; M.B.A. preferred.

 

Language Skills:

 

  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, employees, and the general public.

 

Mathematical Skills:

 

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Computer / Office Skills:

 

  • Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, etc.)
  • SplashBI familiarity (preferred)
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Advanced Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Power Point
  • SQL
  • Microsoft SharePoint 365
  • Oracle EBS
  • Working knowledge of CMMC / NIST 800-171 controls
  • Working knowledge of ITAR controls

  • Standard business hours, but may include occasional overtime, including weekend work.
