Overview of this position: The Energy Procurement Analyst plays a key role in supporting the procurement and management of energy across Ball’s North & Central America (NCA) region. Partnering with the NCA Energy Category Manager and the wider global energy team, the role contributes to energy sourcing, market analysis, and risk management activities. The position requires a strong analytical mindset to help Ball optimise energy costs while supporting the company’s decarbonisation and sustainability objectives. Key responsibilities <ul> <li style="">Support the tendering and procurement process for electricity and natural gas supply contracts across the NCA region.</li> <li style="">Receive, review, analyze, and summarize supplier offers, ensuring information is accurately recorded, clarified where required, and submitted within procurement timelines.</li> <li style="">Assist in preparing market analysis and energy updates for the Sector and Group Hedge Committees.</li> <li style="">Maintain and update energy data trackers and procurement records, ensuring accurate and organized documentation of supplier offers, contracts, and pricing information.</li> <li style="">Track energy contract renewals and ensure all agreements are executed, stored, and maintained within Ball’s contract management systems.</li> <li style="">Support the preparation and management of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and energy budget submissions.</li> <li style="">Gather, analyze, and report on Ball’s energy commodity and non-commodity spend, identifying cost trends, risks, and potential opportunities for savings.</li> <li style="">Create and maintain reporting on energy spend, savings, hedging positions, and market exposure.</li> <li style="">Assist with quarterly hedge validation and monitoring of energy risk management positions. </li> <li style="">Monitor plant-level electricity and natural gas usage forecasts, ensuring updates are communicated to suppliers and internal stakeholders.</li> <li style="">Track and reconcile monthly energy invoices, coordinating with plant teams to resolve discrepancies or missing data.</li> </ul> Requirements Mandatory <ul> <li style="">Completed bachelor degree</li> <li style="">Experience doing data analysis and modelling using tools such as Excel, Power BI</li> <li style="">Experience doing energy market analysis, commodity pricing analysis, or utility cost analysis (electricity and/or natural gas preferred)</li> <li style="">Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data management, including building and maintaining analytical models and trackers.</li> <li style="">Experience with electricity and natural gas markets, including pricing structures and supply contracts.</li> <li style="">Experience with energy procurement and category management processes, including tendering and supplier evaluation.</li> </ul> Skill <ul> <li style="">Data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to translate complex energy market and pricing data into clear insights.</li> <li style="">Communicating analytical findings and market insights to internal stakeholders and decision-making committees.</li> <li style="">Managing multiple data streams and deadlines with strong attention to detail and accuracy.</li> </ul> Desirable <ul> <li style="">Organizing and evaluating supplier proposals, including RFx/tender analysis and commercial – desireable </li> <li style="">Energy procurement and category management processes, including tendering and supplier </li> <li style="">Commodity risk management and hedging concepts related to energy procurement. </li> <li style="">Corporate sustainability and emissions reporting frameworks (e.g., CDP, Dow Jones, annual </li> </ul> Additional information <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="">Location: São José dos Campos/SP or remote from the location of the candidate</li> <li style="">Hybrid on-site work environment or remote: Preference is hybrid (based in São José dos Campos/SP, this position requires regular on-site presence for three (3) days per week, with core collaboration days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.) or remote from the location of the candidate</li> <li style="">Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM</li> </ul> Ball Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
