The Staff Consulting Architect role will be part of the Professional Services team at Nutanix, located in Bangalore. This team is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences by providing innovative solutions focused on database lifecycle management and virtualization. You will report to the Director of Professional Services, who is known for a leadership style that emphasizes empowerment and mentorship, fostering an atmosphere of continuous learning and professional growth. The work setup for this role is hybrid, requiring occasional in-office presence to facilitate collaboration and client engagements, while also allowing for flexibility in remote work. The exact number of days in the office will be determined based on project needs and team activities.

This role involves approximately 15% travel, which may include trips to client locations for project kick-offs, deployments, or workshops. This travel is essential for understanding client environments and ensuring successful implementations of Nutanix solutions.

• Design and implement database service platforms integrating automation and virtualization technologies.
• Lead and manage database migration projects, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal resource management.
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of database services, focusing on backup, restore, scaling, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate database solutions with infrastructure and automation frameworks.
• Establish and document blueprints for consistent database provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor team members on database modernization and best practices in automation.
• Monitor and analyze platform health and performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives based on gathered insights.
• Engage with clients to understand requirements and deliver tailored database solutions that enhance their IT infrastructure.

• 10+ years of experience in database administration and infrastructure engineering.
• Strong expertise in database lifecycle management, automation, and virtualization technologies.
• Proficient in database design, deployment, and migration for major RDBMSs (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with automation frameworks (API integration, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform).
• Excellent communication and client-facing consulting skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead database modernization initiatives.
• Relevant certifications in database management or virtualization preferred.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and MongoDB technologies.
