<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Role Overview:</strong></span><strong><br></strong>We are seeking a <strong>Staff Hardware Test Engineer</strong> with 8+ years of experience to join our team in the San Francisco Bay Area. In this hybrid role, you will serve as a key technical leader for design verification testing of the humanoid robot Torso electrical subsystem and components including PCBAs, battery systems, power electronics, and advanced sensors such as cameras and LiDAR. You will own verification strategy and planning, develop robust test infrastructure, lead subsystem-level characterization, and drive improvements in test coverage, engineering rigor, and design robustness.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Design Verification Strategy & Planning</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Own the design verification strategy for Torso electrical subsystems and components, including PCBAs, batteries, sensors, and power electronics</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Define verification plans, coverage goals, and test protocols across the product development lifecycle</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Partner with hardware design, systems engineering, and analysis teams to ensure requirements, testability, and verification readiness are addressed early in development</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Maintain clear end-to-end traceability from subsystem requirements through test execution and results</span></li>

<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Develop and execute subsystem-level characterization and design verification testing for torso electronics</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Design automated, repeatable test setups for cameras, LiDAR, battery packs, power distribution, and control electronics</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;">Build test scripts, tooling, and diagnostics to improve efficiency, repeatability, and data quality</li>

<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Lead investigation of verification test failures and nonconformances, driving root cause identification and corrective actions in partnership with design teams</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;">Identify gaps in verification coverage and implement improvements in test infrastructure, processes, and standards</li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;">Document test methods, results, and best practices to scale learning across future development cycles</li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;">Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of strong engineering rigor, execution, and continuous improvement</li>

<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Experience:</strong></span></li>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Minimum of 8 years of experience in test engineering, design verification, or electrical validation</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Strong preference for experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles, aerospace, or other complex hardware systems</span></li>
</ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Technical Expertise:</strong></span></li>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Deep understanding of electronics verification testing, including power, signal integrity, and sensor interfaces with a strong preference for experience with EtherCAT architecture</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Experience validating battery systems, power distribution, and safety-critical electrical subsystems</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Familiarity with sensor verification (cameras, LiDAR, IMUs) and performance characterization</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Proficiency with lab tools such as oscilloscopes,sensors, logic analyzers, DAQs, power supplies, and environmental test equipment</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Proficiency in python scripting for test automation</span></li>
</ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Skills:</strong></span></li>
<ul>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to translate test results into clear design feedback</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, capable of driving alignment and leading technical discussions across multidisciplinary teams and supplier partners</span></li>

<p><em>The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Agility Robotics is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions who work in other locations.
