Job Title- Strategic Analyst (Operating Model) Position type- Full Time Work Location-Bangalore Working style- Hybrid People Manager role: No Required education and certifications critical for the role- Any Graduate or Post-Graduate (full time) Required years of experience – Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience We are seeking a Data Analyst, Operating Model Transformation to support the Internal Consulting team of Aon Business Services (ABS) on the design and delivery of a multi-year strategic operating model transformation. Based in India and reporting to the Director of Internal Consulting, this role provides analysis, insights and reporting needed to design, implement and monitor Aon’s future operating model. This role will partner closely with internal consultants, project managers and functional stakeholders to turn raw data into clear, actionable outcomes. What the day will look like Data Collection, Analysis & Insight Generation Work with transformation, operations, and technology teams to understand required datasets (finance, operations, client, workforce, etc.) Extract, clean, and validate data from multiple systems and sources, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and consistency Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to understand current‑state performance, drivers, and pain points (e.g., capacity utilization, cost-to-serve, FTE allocation) Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and translate them into clear insights and implications for decision-makers Support implementation of common data standards and controls across the transformation program Reporting, Dashboards & Visualization Develop and maintain standard reports and dashboards (e.g., KPI dashboards, progress tracking, benefits realization, risk and issue summaries) Use visualization tools (e.g., Power BI / Excel / other approved tools) to present complex data in an intuitive way for senior stakeholders Automate recurring reporting where possible to reduce manual effort and improve reliability Ensure that reporting is aligned to the overall governance and PMO framework (cadence, formats, and definitions) Operating Model Design & Implementation Support Provide analytical input to support end-to-end design of the target operating model across Aon’s Solution Lines, Business Units and Functions Support workstream leads with ad hoc analysis to inform decisions on scope, sequencing, and resourcing Contribute to pilot and rollout measurement plans (baseline vs. future‑state KPIs, adoption metrics, stabilization criteria) Analyze post‑implementation performance to validate benefits, identify gaps, and inform continuous improvement Stakeholder Collaboration & Ways of Working Collaborate daily with colleagues across time zones, ensuring effective handovers and clear communication Participate in working sessions, workshops, and review meetings to present findings and answer data-related questions Proactively flag data quality issues or analytical risks, and work with relevant teams to resolve them Support knowledge management by maintaining shared repositories of datasets, queries, and reports . Skills and experience that will lead to success Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; able to work with data, identify patterns, and draw clear conclusions High attention to detail and quality, with disciplined approach to documentation and version control Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with process mapping and visualization tools (especially PowerBI) is beneficial Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; able to present complex information in a clear and concise way Comfortable working with stakeholders at different levels and across functions and geographies Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Collaborative team player, open to feedback and committed to continuous learning Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, business, or technology-related field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics) 3+ years of experience as a data analyst, business analyst or consultant with strong analytical focus; experience at a management consulting firm preferred Experience supporting transformation, operating model, process improvement, or large-scale change programs preferred Prior experience in professional services, financial services, or insurance is an advantage Technical Skills Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation). Experience with at least one data visualization / BI tool (e.g., Power BI) to build and manage dashboards Solid SQL or similar querying skills for data extraction and transformation (or willingness to develop these rapidly) Comfort working with large, complex datasets and multiple source systems.
