About the role

At AGL, we're helping shape Australia's energy future by accelerating the transition to a lower-carbon economy. As part of our Energy Markets & Development business, the Power Development & Analysis team is responsible for delivering a pipeline of renewable and firming projects that will play a critical role in supporting Australia's energy transition.

As a Strategy & Reporting Analyst, you'll provide strategic reporting and insights across AGL's development and delivery portfolio, helping inform decision-making at the highest levels of the business. Working closely with Project Developers, Project Managers, Project Schedulers and Analysis teams, you'll consolidate, review, analyse and communicate portfolio performance data, drive reporting accuracy, consistency and continuous improvement, and support the successful delivery of critical energy infrastructure projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Gather, consolidate, review and analyse project and portfolio performance data across AGL's development and delivery pipeline.
  • Deliver monthly reporting and presentations for leadership forums, including the Power Development & Analysis Leadership Team, EMD Leadership Team and the AGL Executive Team.
  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of portfolio and project data performance through quality reviews, and validation
  • Support leadership insights and decisions through Power BI reporting and visualisation.
  • Facilitate project reviews and SteerCo meetings, capturing actions, decisions, critical discussion points, feedback and leadership guidance, and work with stakeholders to maintain delivery discipline
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within AGL's reporting platforms and processes.
  • Provide ongoing support to Project Developers and Project Managers on reporting requirements and best practices.

What you'll bring

  • A degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related discipline, with an interest in the energy transition.
  • Experience in strategic planning, reporting, performance analysis or related business functions.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Power BI, Databricks or similar reporting and analytics tools.
  • Experience working with complex datasets and presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Understanding of energy markets, energy project development and delivery will be highly regarded.
