Structural CAE Analyst Ford Champ
Ford Champs will allow to get to now different business areas through 12 to 24 months, while you improve your skills and become a better professional.
As a Structural CAE Analyst Ford Champ, you will be responsible of specializing in the analysis and development of Automotive Closures and sheet metal components. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in performing NVH, Fatigue, and non-linear Impact analyses, as well as knowledge of Closures interface components and related hardware. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and validating design countermeasures to address complex Closures system level issues, utilizing systems engineering principles and FMEA methodologies.
What you´ll do:
- Advanced Simulation & Modeling: Build high-fidelity FE models and perform iterative linear, non-linear, and impact analyses (NVH, Durability, Fatigue) to resolve design challenges under tight timelines.
- Design Optimization: Utilize statistical tools and DOE (Design of Experiments) to optimize the function, mass, and cost of forward-model systems.
- Drive Innovation & Automation: Lead the evolution of CAE by developing and improving simulation methods using Agentic/Generative AI and Machine Learning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Design & Release (D&R) teams to align requirements, resolve functional issues, and deliver data-driven 'Performance vs. Cost' trade-off studies.
- Milestone Delivery: Execute and verify complete, accurate CAE assessments to support key program milestones and engineering status reports.
- FEA Expertise: Strong knowledge of FEA theory, structural CAE, and both Linear Static and Non-Linear Dynamic (including impact) analyses.
- Industry-Standard Toolset:
- Meshing & Post-processing: ANSA, HyperMesh, HyperView, or MetaPost.
- Solvers & Analysis: Abaqus, Nastran, LS-Dyna, FDYNAM, nCode, or Optistruct.
- Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in statistical tools, optimization studies, and a passion for automation and emerging AI technologies.
What you´ll need:
