In this position...Ā 

The CAR Supervisor position is a supervisory leadership role supported by on-the-job training, development, and opportunity for career progression.Ā

What you'll do...

  • Create a safety culture and apply and implement workplace policies

  • Lead/coach skilled trades/maintenance personnel in all aspects of asset management including but not limited to: asset availability (mean time to repair, mean time between failure), cycle time, preventative maintenance, predictive and condition-based monitoring technologies.

  • Lead/coach teams in leveraging new and existing machine monitoring tools to identify constraints in the system and systematically reduce and eliminate interruptions in production flow.

  • Supervise, evaluate, and empower an hourly team that produces manufactured products, and organize workflow to meet quality and daily productivity requirements

  • Ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met through coaching standardized work, verifying lines are running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts

  • Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members, union, and management teams.

  • Communicate effectively with hourly team members, leaders, business partners and customers

  • Administer the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) consistently and effectively

  • Evaluate team member performance and encourage continuous improvement

You'll have...Ā 

  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls/automation

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1+ years of supervisory and / or manufacturing experience

  • 1+ years of maintenance or automation experience

  • Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends

  • Mechanical aptitude

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360.Ā 

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $96,720-162,120.
