As the Supply Chain Analyst, you are responsible for the production planning of manufacturing and distribution for the Optical Monomers business. You will support detailed scheduling at the plant and purchasing execution for raw materials. You will act as a liaison and communication point between Plants, Sales, Transportation, Tollers and Warehousing, keeping all parties informed of potential problems impacting the business.

You will report to the Supply Chain Manager and will be based onsite at the Barberton, OH- Norton Plant. PPG's work arrangement is a Flexible Friday model designed to accelerate collaboration and career development. Teams work together on-site Monday through Thursday, with the opportunity to work remotely on Fridays.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage toll manufacturer relationships, including raw material planning, capacity, and feedstock supply to ensure production and delivery.
  • Oversee inventory, supply planning, and replenishment across manufacturing plants and warehouses.
  • Develop production schedules and capacity plans to meet inventory, service, and cost objectives.
  • Monitor inventory health, aging stock, and KPIs (OTIF, Days of Supply, Forecast Accuracy) to increase performance improvements.
  • Identify and reduce supply risks while supporting customer demand and service commitments.
  • Used SAP (MM, PP, APO, IBP) to manage planning, execution, and master data.
  • Lead S&OP/SIOP planning and collaborated with teams on forecasting and procurement.
  • Improve plans to optimize inventory, material flow, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Manage supplier performance through scorecards, risk assessments, and business reviews.
  • Support digital transformation and advanced planning projects to enhance supply chain operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; in a Supply Chain or in Operations/Supply Planning field preferred
  • 5 years of experience in a planning environment; Supply Planning or Supply Chain Management environment is desired
  • Experience working in a global supply chain environment
  • Must be proficient in the use of Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and other desktop applications for modeling.
  • Experience in ERP systems (SAP preferred/specially IBP experience)
