Supply Chain Business Systems Analyst I

Position Summary:
Provides analyses, data visualization and recommendations to the different business functions such as but not limited to Business Development, Marketing, Sales, SIOP, Sourcing, Customer Service, Finance, and Operations/plants, not just one plant but across different plants in reviewing, analyzing, documenting and validating user requirements, applications and processes. Enhances Data Analysis/provision process workflow and participates in project plans to streamline production planning, distribution order management, improving metrics such as but not limited to On time delivery, Schedule adherence, Backlog - Past due, Forecast accuracy, and Inventory health, by providing data visibility to internal and external customers. This position typically supports not just one business entity.
Major Responsibilities:
Liaises with different cross functional leaders and support teams to implement business tactical and strategic business plans by acquiring, reviewing, cleaning up, summarizing, visualizing data to be able to provide feedback to the leadership team on planning, issues, opportunities, and recommendations to improve business metrics and timeliness of business initiatives implementation.
Coordinates with different functional teams to implement new reports and Power BI dashboards and monitor outcomes. Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze dashboard performance and data accuracy.
Gathers and evaluates data from multiple sources of different business functions. Analyzes, reconciles and identifies measurable opportunities for improvement. Identifies and implements audit processes to ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported and resolved in a timely manner.
Mines and analyzes data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of business metrics and strategies.
Develops and maintains processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity across different departments.
Evaluates the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
Acts as subject matter expert for new processes, KPI’s, and data management and aid in training for new processes, mentoring Analysts I and provision of dashboard walk throughs to stakeholders. Collaborates with both external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements. Partners with various managers to design optimal solutions that meet the business needs of our internal and external customers.
Assists in report development, gathering, analyzing and effectively visualizing data for Executive Leaders’ Business Reviews and other requirements.
Performs analysis on Sales, Orders, Backlog, Past Due, Delivery, and other Supply Chain metrics in drilling down data to determine gaps in numbers and to identify specific areas of opportunities that will ultimately be useful for the executive leaders to identify and implement action items for business improvements.
Creates data analyses and visualizations mainly through Power BI, and Excel. Assists stakeholders with regular updates, changes and improvement requests.
Presents story of visualized data to stakeholders which may include staff from different departments to President level.
Manages ongoing support requests to support supply planning leads (material managers, plant managers, product managers etc.). Interfaces with functional leads to transform and develop new requirements into projects and implementation. Supports any other core Procurement/Supply Chain programs that will impact the overall Supply Chain decision;
Initiates the demand forecast accuracy analysis and provide a deeper analysis on the dynamics of the forecast error monthly. Participate in Supply and Demand planning to help give a better understanding on how the demand is coming in using the analysis done on demand forecast. Provide complex data analysis in aiding the creation of business decisions of the whole business unit.
Troubleshoots Power BI desktop and Cloud related issues, reporting and coordinating with IT for non-controllable roadblocks
Creates and maintains process documents
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Business Administration major in Supply Chain/Management, or Computer Science. (Preferred but not required)
Job Related Experiences:
At least 2-year experience as Sales/Marketing/Finance/Supply Chain Analyst
Must have significant experience in analyzing data using Excel
