The Logistics Analyst is responsible for analyzing product delivery and supply chain processes to identify or recommend changes. Responsible for analyzing and interpreting data and providing logistics information to aid cost effective, efficient, timely and high quality logistics solutions.

General Responsibilities
• Ensure reliability, integrity and accuracy of data
• Undertake detailed and thorough logistics analysis
• Ensure analysis is in line with business goals and targets
• Make recommendations based on findings and analysis
• Produce forecasts and estimates to aid financially sound decisions and cash flow planning
• Ensure logistics costs are monitored, managed and under control
• Collaborate with manager or stakeholders to determine effective solutions
• Set up and provide regular reports and data relating to specific areas of the logistics process such as supplier analysis, transportation costs
• Track logistics trends and use information to recommend changes
• Utilise knowledge and research methods to benchmark logistics activities
and to drive best practice results
• Work with Logistics and other appropriate staff to resolve issues as and when required
• Provide additional analytical support as required

• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

Position Purpose

The Supply Chain Control Tower Analyst is responsible for supporting day-to-day supply chain visibility, shipment monitoring, exception tracking, KPI reporting, and data-driven operational follow-up across inbound, outbound, intercompany, and finished goods flows. The role provides timely and accurate information to logistics, logistic procurement, customer service, carriers, warehouses, and/or 3PL partners to support proactive decision making and service performance.

The position acts as a key analytical and coordination support role within the supply chain control tower, helping to identify delays, service risks, data issues, cost deviations, and operational exceptions, and ensuring they are escalated to the right owners for timely resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supply Chain Visibility and Monitoring

  • Monitor inbound, outbound, intercompany, and finished goods flows using available ERP, TMS, WMS, carrier, freight forwarder, and internal reporting tools.
  • Track shipment status, inventory movements, carrier updates, warehouse execution milestones, and service risks across assigned regions or lanes.
  • Consolidate operational information from multiple sources into clear trackers, dashboards, and reports.
  • Validate data accuracy and highlight missing, inconsistent, or delayed information that may impact decision making.

2. Exception Tracking and Escalation Support

  • Identify and log operational exceptions such as shipment delays, missed pickups, customs delays, carrier failures, inventory shortages, warehouse bottlenecks, and service disruptions.
  • Follow defined escalation rules, response timelines, and ownership models for different exception types.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams, carriers, warehouses, freight forwarders, customer service, procurement, and manufacturing sites to obtain updates and support issue resolution.
  • Track root causes, corrective actions, and closure status to ensure follow-up is completed.

3. KPI Governance and Performance Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain recurring KPI reports covering OTIF, on-time delivery, freight cost performance, premium freight, carrier performance, warehouse service levels, transit time adherence, and exception resolution time.
  • Support daily, weekly, and monthly control tower dashboards by collecting, validating, and updating performance data.
  • Analyze trends, gaps, and deviations, and summarize key insights for operational and management reviews.
  • Apply standard reporting definitions to support consistent performance visibility across regions.

4. Cost and Service Optimization

  • Analyze freight, warehousing, and service performance data to identify cost deviations, service risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support logistics cost reduction initiatives, mode optimization, route optimization, consolidation opportunities, and premium freight reduction through data analysis.
  • Prepare fact-based summaries and recommendations to support operational decision making.
  • Contribute data inputs for business cases related to logistics network changes and process improvements.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Support communication between logistics, procurement, finance, trade compliance, carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PL partners.
  • Provide timely shipment, exception, and KPI updates to relevant stakeholders during operational disruptions.
  • Support procurement and logistics teams with carrier and supplier performance data for RFQs, negotiations, and supplier reviews.
  • Highlight logistics capacity constraints, service risks, and recurring issues to the appropriate process owners.

6. Digital Tools and Continuous Improvement

  • Support the maintenance and improvement of control tower dashboards, trackers, reporting templates, and standard operating processes.
  • Improve data quality and reporting consistency by identifying gaps, duplicate work, and manual process risks.
  • Participate in digitalization and automation initiatives, including dashboard enhancements, workflow improvements, and user testing.
  • Contribute to a proactive, data-driven performance culture through accurate reporting and disciplined follow-up.

Required Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, transportation, warehousing, planning, customer service operations, analytics, or control tower support.
  • Experience in regional or global logistics operations, preferably in automotive, manufacturing, electronics, or industrial environments.
  • Good understanding of inbound logistics, outbound logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing, carrier management, and 3PL operations.
  • Experience working with ERP, TMS, WMS, carrier portals, visibility platforms, or reporting tools is preferred.
  • Experience preparing KPI reports, dashboards, trackers, and operational analyses.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills and good working knowledge of Power BI or similar reporting tools, AI
  • Ability to work with operational and financial data and translate findings into clear insights
  • Good understanding of ERP, TMS, WMS, carrier portals, and visibility systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, Finance, or related field.
  • APICS, Lean Six Sigma, project management, data analytics, or logistics certification is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, project44, FourKites, or similar platforms is beneficial.
  • International logistics and automotive supply chain experience preferred.

Gross Annual Salary Range:

17,629.00 EUR - 24,240.70 EUR

The salary range is published in line with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and relevant country legislation.
