Why work for Caritas Australia?

You will join a team of like-minded individuals who are passionate about tackling poverty and injustice. As part of the Caritas Australia team, you will also benefit from:

What does the role involve?

This is far more than a systems administration role. You'll be the technical lead for our supporter technology ecosystem, taking ownership of Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), Salesforce Marketing Cloud and related platforms. You'll design and implement automations, integrations and system enhancements that simplify processes, improve data quality and deliver better experiences for users and supporters alike.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and external technology partners, you'll champion best practice, strengthen governance, support campaign delivery and empower colleagues through training and practical solutions. Above all, you'll continually look for opportunities to evolve our systems so they remain reliable, scalable and fit for the future.

Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • System ownership & administration: Manage and maintain Salesforce NPSP, Marketing Cloud and related supporter systems to ensure they are reliable, secure and fit for purpose.
  • System enhancement & delivery: Deliver system enhancements through configuration, automation and integrations that improve efficiency and capability.
  • Data and campaign operations: Support campaign delivery through data management, segmentation, technical configuration and campaign execution.
  • Governance & system integrity: Maintain system governance, documentation and data integrity to ensure reliable, compliant platforms.
  • User empowerment: Train and support users while driving continuous improvements to system usability and effectiveness.

This role is based in our Mascot office and will work a hybrid model, including two days in the office per week (Tuesday and Wednesday).

Who are we looking for?

We're seeking an experienced systems professional who enjoys taking ownership, solving complex problems and building technology that makes a genuine difference. You'll have considerable experience administering and enhancing Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform, along with the broader supporter systems that connect to it, and a strong understanding of automation, integrations and data governance. You're someone who naturally looks for better ways of working, can translate business needs into practical technical solutions and enjoys partnering with people across an organisation. Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, marketing automation, and the nonprofit sector will be highly regarded, but just as important is your curiosity, initiative and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

You will have a mix of the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Extensive Salesforce or comparable CRM administration experience.
  • Experience with automation, integrations and system enhancements across a broader technology stack.
  • Marketing Cloud or marketing automation platform experience.
  • Strong data governance and system administration capability.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and user support skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
