We are seeking an experienced Insurance Business Analyst to serve as the bridge between insurance business stakeholders and technology teams. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in requirements gathering, process analysis, data analysis, Agile delivery, and enterprise insurance applications.

The role will support insurance platforms, system enhancements, integrations, modernization initiatives, and the delivery of technology solutions across legacy and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Facilitate stakeholder and client workshops and translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Developers, Architects, QA, and business SMEs.
  • Analyze insurance business processes including policy administration, claims, billing, underwriting, and policy servicing.
  • Support insurance platforms such as WMA, CyberLife, Insurance Smart Apps, and related enterprise applications.
  • Work across Mainframe and AWS/cloud environments, including legacy modernization initiatives.
  • Analyze data using SQL, Excel, and database tools to validate requirements and investigate defects.
  • Support APIs, integrations, data mapping, migration, and system interfaces.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, UAT, defect management, and production validation.
  • Identify process improvements and recommend technology solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Application Support, or related roles.
  • Strong requirements-gathering and documentation experience.
  • Experience with user stories, acceptance criteria, Agile/Scrum, and SDLC.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • SQL and advanced Excel experience.
  • Experience working with enterprise applications and development teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Insurance industry experience, particularly Life, Annuities, Claims, or Policy Administration.
  • WMA, CyberLife, Insurance Smart Apps
  • AWS / Cloud
  • Mainframe / COBOL environments
  • APIs and enterprise integrations
  • Data migration and conversion
  • Jira and Confluence
  • Tableau / reporting and analytics
  • Insurance application modernization

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $73,400 - $136,300.
