<p>We are seeking a <strong>Technical Secretary</strong> to lead governance activities across the Great Grid Partnership (GGP), supporting boards, steering groups, and external engagement meetings to ensure they run efficiently and effectively.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>You will coordinate meetings, manage agendas and pack production, and work closely with Enterprise Directors and the Strategic Operations Manager to ensure consistency and timely, high-quality outputs. The role requires influencing senior stakeholders to provide accurate inputs and ensuring key messages are clearly communicated across the organisation.</p>

<p>You will also develop and improve processes for data management, documentation, meeting coordination, and version control, while providing administrative and operational support to the Directors’ Office.</p>

<p>Working across GGP, clients, and partners, you will ensure strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement. Strong organisational, communication, and Microsoft Office skills are essential, along with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage meeting logistics and drive best practice.</p>

<p>This role is based in Birmingham. We offer flexible hybrid working where possible. This role involves regular travel to office locations and project delivery sites/ substations, primarily within the region surrounding your contractual base location. Occasional nationwide travel may also be required, depending on project demands. <li>Proven experience in providing organisational and administrative services to stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.</li>
<li>Demonstrable experience of owning and delivering new initiatives/projects</li>
<li>Experience of influencing stakeholders to accomplish or land tasks</li>
<li>Supervisory experience – assigning tasks, coaching peers or more junior colleagues etc would be desirable</li>
<li>Experienced user of MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint and SharePoint).</li>
<li>Demonstrate a logical and methodical approach to problem solving, with good attention to detail.</li>
<li>Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role</li>
<li>An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans</li>
<li>Solid organisational skills, including multitasking and time-management.</li>
<li>Strong client-facing and teamwork skills</li>

<li>Whilst ensuring the team are supported in all elements of the GGP process, this role will be responsible for the development and ownership of a handful of new initiatives such as improving the GGP meeting workflows.</li>
<li>Ensure a smooth and efficient implementation of the GGP board and steering group meetings, workshops and other related events, capturing minutes and actions in a timely manner, and working with the GGP teams to ensure actions are closed out.</li>
<li>Influencing wider stakeholders to create consistency across the GGP, ensuring processes are being adhered to, actions completed in a timely fashion.</li>
<li>Reviewing the existing GGP board process alongside the Strategic Operations Maangre and ensuring best practice is identified and implemented.</li>
<li>Coordinate the logistics for the various board and key meetings including room bookings and ensuring IT and presentation facilities are available.</li>
<li>Review and consolidate board level reporting deliverables.</li>
<li>Assist with the communication of board level reporting outputs and other briefing material and events for the wider GGP.</li>
<li>Supporting the GGP Team and as appropriate with the efficient delivery of our administrative and organisational requirements.</li>

<p>A competitive salary between £42,000 - £47,000 – dependent on capability.</p>
