No aerospace experience is required. If you have basic manufacturing experience or a strong work ethic and willingness to learn, we will provide the training needed to succeed in satellite production manufacturing.</p>
<p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking a <strong>Quality Assurance Inspector</strong> to support production by ensuring that satellite components meet all quality and engineering requirements. This role is hands-on and detail-driven, working closely with production and engineering teams to verify that both in-process and finished products meet strict aerospace standards.</p>
<p><strong> </strong><strong>Compensation & Schedule</strong></p>
<p><strong>Pay:</strong> $27.00/hour across all shifts. Additional shift differentials apply for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th shifts.</p>
<p><strong> </strong><strong>Shift Schedules</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>1st Shift – Days: </strong>Monday–Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. (4x10 schedule) with paid lunch and breaks <strong>(Need 1 </strong><strong>QA Inspector</strong><strong>)</strong></li>
<li><strong>2nd Shift – Nights: </strong>Monday–Thursday, 6:00 p.m.–4:00 a.m. (4x10 schedule) with a 10% shift differential and paid lunch and breaks <strong>(Need 1 </strong><strong>QA Inspector</strong><strong>)</strong></li>
<li><strong>3rd Shift – Weekends: </strong>Friday–Sunday, 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (3x12 schedule) with a 20% shift differential and paid lunch and breaks <strong>(Need 3 </strong><strong>QA Inspectors</strong><strong>)</strong></li>
<li><strong>Flexibility:</strong> Night and weekend shifts may be available with shift differential pay depending on business needs.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong> What You’ll Be Doing:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Perform in-process inspections of electrical and mechanical assemblies using technical drawings, CAD models, work instructions, and established processes to verify conformance to design requirements</li>
<li>Conduct detailed final product inspections on finished goods, including First Article Inspections (FAI) and certified supplier documentation reviews</li>
<li>Identify, document, and communicate production nonconformances in accordance with quality procedures and established processes</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with QMS policies, procedures, and applicable quality standards</li>
<li>Communicate quality concerns effectively with Quality Engineers and other AST SpaceMobile personnel to support timely resolutions</li>
<li>Support multiple assignments concurrently while maintaining flexibility with changing production schedules</li>
<li>Monitor and verify the proper use of calibrated measuring and inspection instruments</li>
<li>Read, interpret, and follow work instructions, technical drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements</li>
<li>Maintain professionalism, accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail in daily inspection activities</li>
<li>Comply with all PPE requirements, product protection standards, company dress code, and general company guidelines</li>
<li>Support a safe, clean, and quality-focused manufacturing environment</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What You Bring:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or GED equivalent</li>
<li>Experience with quality assurance principles, methods, and processes</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions</li>
<li>Ability to provide standard quality dispositions and document inspection results accurately</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively with Quality Engineers and cross-functional teams</li>
<li>Ability to fully comply with PPE requirements and product protection procedures including smocks, gloves, and related equipment</li>
<li>Must be legally authorized to work in the United States</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Sound knowledge of aerospace manufacturing, production processes, and quality standards</li>
<li>Experience performing detailed product inspections using blueprints/specifications and precision measuring and test equipment</li>
<li>Associate degree in a technical or engineering field</li>
<li>3+ years of inspection experience in aerospace, aviation, military, or manufacturing environments</li>
<li>Experience with electrical systems, testing, and inspection using portable measuring devices</li>
<li>Familiarity with aerospace quality systems and manufacturing compliance requirements</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Physical Requirements & Work Environment:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.</li>
<li>Ability to use hands and fingers to perform repetitive and precision tasks.</li>
<li>Ability to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as required to perform job duties.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively, including talking and hearing.</li>
<li>Ability to work in, on, around, and in proximity to large structures, equipment, and tooling.</li>
<li>Ability to lift, push, and/or carry items up to 15 pounds as required.</li>
<li>Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and equipment.</li>
<li>Ability to work in and around tight or confined spaces.</li>
<li>Ability to work in environments that may include exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and/or hazardous materials (e.g., carbon fiber).</li>
