Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Techno-Functional Analyst with 7+ years of experience in Manufacturing Operations, Digital Manufacturing, and Operational Excellence initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong domain knowledge across manufacturing processes, machine reliability, downtime management, dynamic disruption handling, and production performance optimization. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, operations teams, IT teams, and solution providers to translate business requirements into scalable digital solutions.

The candidate should have participated in at least 1–2 end-to-end manufacturing transformation or digitalization projects and demonstrate expertise in business analysis, process documentation, stakeholder management, testing, and solution deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Process Analysis

  • Analyze and document manufacturing business processes across production operations.
  • Assess and improve key operational areas including:
    • Downtime Management
    • Machine Reliability & Asset Performance
    • Dynamic Disruption Management
    • Production Scheduling & Execution
    • OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
    • Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend technology-enabled solutions.

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from manufacturing stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain:
    • Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
    • Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS)
    • Process Flow Diagrams
    • User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
    • Gap Analysis Documentation
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications for technical teams.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the liaison between Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and IT teams.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution reviews.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment throughout project lifecycles.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to business leadership.

Solution Design & Implementation

  • Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and implementation teams.
  • Support design and deployment of manufacturing solutions such as MES, Manufacturing Analytics, Predictive Maintenance, Reliability Platforms, and Production Monitoring systems.
  • Validate functional designs against business requirements.

Testing & User Acceptance

  • Develop test scenarios, test scripts, and validation plans.
  • Lead System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Coordinate defect management and resolution activities.
  • Ensure business sign-off and successful solution adoption.

Change Management & Adoption

  • Support user training and change management initiatives.
  • Develop process documentation, user guides, and operational procedures.
  • Assist in rollout planning and post-implementation support.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or Techno-Functional Consultant within Manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in at least 1–2 full-cycle Manufacturing Transformation, MES, Smart Factory, Industry 4.0, or Digital Manufacturing projects.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs and operational workflows.

Domain Expertise

Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Downtime Tracking and Analysis
  • Machine Reliability and Asset Performance Management
  • Dynamic Disruption Management
  • Production Operations
  • Maintenance Operations
  • OEE Monitoring and Improvement
  • Manufacturing Analytics
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives

Functional Skills

  • Business Process Mapping
  • Requirement Gathering and Analysis
  • BRD/FRD Documentation
  • Process Modelling (Visio, BPMN, etc.)
  • Gap Analysis
  • UAT Planning and Execution
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

Technical Understanding

  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Systems such as:
    • MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
    • ERP Manufacturing Modules
    • Reliability and Asset Management Solutions
    • Production Monitoring Platforms
    • Industrial IoT and Manufacturing Analytics
  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams and understand system integrations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, or Digital Factory initiatives.
  • Exposure to SAP Manufacturing, SAP Digital Manufacturing, Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell FactoryTalk, AVEVA, Ignition, PTC ThingWorx, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, or Reliability Engineering concepts.
  • Certification in Business Analysis, Agile, Scrum, or Project Management is desirable.
