Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trading Analyst to join our OTC trading desk in Kuala Lumpur. This is an entry-level role designed for fresh graduates with a strong academic background in Finance, Economics, or a related field who are eager to build a career in digital asset trading.


You will work closely with our senior trading team to support the execution of OTC digital asset transactions for the UAE market, develop your understanding of market dynamics, and build foundational skills in risk management and cross-border regulatory compliance. 


What you’ll do


Trading Support and Execution

  • Assist senior traders in executing OTC digital asset trades on behalf of UAE-based institutional and professional clients under direct supervision
  • Monitor open positions, market exposure, and inventory in real time across UAE trading sessions
  • Support the preparation of competitive pricing and quotes for OTC transactions, ensuring accuracy in all trade entries
  • Learn to manage principal risk positions and facilitate client orders across multiple digital asset pairs active in the UAE market
  • Participate in trading coverage rotations aligned with UAE market hours, including scheduled evening and weekend shifts from KL


Market Research and Analysis

  • Track and analyse price movements, liquidity conditions, and order book data across key digital asset pairs relevant to the UAE OTC desk
  • Conduct daily market research on digital asset prices, macroeconomic trends, and Middle East financial news to support trading decisions
  • Apply financial and economic principles to identify patterns and contribute to market commentary for the UAE desk
  • Prepare market summaries and trade reports for the senior trading team


Risk and Compliance

  • Adhere to UAE virtual asset regulations under VARA, including applicable rulebooks governing OTC and broker-dealer activity
  • Ensure all trading activities are compliant with UAE AML/CFT requirements, KYC standards, and Fasset's internal compliance policies
  • Maintain accurate trade records, blotters, and reconciliation logs in line with VARA reporting obligations
  • Flag and escalate unusual market activity or potential compliance concerns to the Risk and Compliance teams


Platform and Operational Support

  • Provide structured feedback to the technology and product teams to improve platform features and trading infrastructure
  • Participate in testing and deployment of new trading products, pairs, and platform upgrades
  • Support business development by assisting with UAE client-facing data preparation and institutional client research
  • Develop a working understanding of order management systems (OMS) and electronic trading platforms


What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree (recently awarded or pending graduation) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • Strong academic track record demonstrating analytical ability and quantitative reasoning
  • Basic understanding of financial markets, asset classes, trading mechanics, and economic principles
  • Familiarity with cryptocurrency or digital assets is an advantage; genuine curiosity and a willingness to learn is essential
  • Comfortable working hours that overlap with UAE time (GMT+4), including evenings from KL when required
  • Exceptional attention to detail — you double-check numbers, verify data, and take pride in accuracy at every step
  • Strong numerical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, charts, and market information
  • Self-motivated and intellectually curious with a drive to continuously learn and improve
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, time-sensitive trading environment without losing composure
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Bloomberg or trading platform experience is an advantage
  • High integrity and a genuine commitment to regulatory and ethical standards
