Job Title

Transfers Senior Analyst

Job Description

So, who are we?

IG Group is a FTSE 100 fintech operating across five continents, serving over 1.3m customers and handling billions of dollars in transactions – built on scale, trust, and proof. We didn't pivot to innovation; it's how we've always operated. What that means for the people who work here is real: genuinely complex problems to solve, the technology and resources to tackle them properly, and the kind of scope that's rare in established businesses. The bar is high – bring a curious and forward-thinking mindset and we'll give you the platform to define what comes next. Join us at IG – the future gets built here.

Your team

This role is part of the Transfer Operations team based out of the Bangalore office. You will be part of a global operations team responsible for managing client asset transfers, ensuring accurate, timely processing and delivering a seamless customer experience across markets.

Your role in the Team’s Success

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Analyst to become a key member of our Transfer Operations team. In this role, you will take ownership of complex transfer cases, support junior team members, and contribute to ongoing strategic programmes — playing a critical part in maintaining operational excellence and delivering a high standard of service to our clients.

What you’ll do

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage complex end-to-end stock transfer cases, including exceptions and escalations, ensuring accurate instruction entry, settlement checks, and timely closure within SLA

  • Proactively monitor ageing cases and identify recurring issues, driving process improvements in coordination with the Team Lead

  • Serve as a senior point of contact for complex client and broker queries and escalations, ensuring professional and timely resolution through calls and emails

  • Liaise with external brokers, custodians, and internal teams to resolve transfer issues and own senior-level escalations through to closure

  • Review instructions and system records thoroughly to ensure accuracy and compliance with FCA, CASS, and HMRC ISA regulatory requirements

  • Coach and support junior Analysts, acting as a first-level escalation point for operational queries before escalation to the Team Lead

  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members on processes, systems, and compliance requirements

  • Contribute to key strategic workstreams including the IBKR custody migration and Equisoft platform implementation

  • Maintain internal systems (Salesforce, JSM, TeX) with accurate and timely information and identify opportunities for process and system improvements

What you’ll need for this role

We are looking for a self-starting, experienced team player who can operate independently, support colleagues during peak periods, and bring both technical expertise and a collaborative mindset to the role.

We are looking for the below skills:

  • Solid understanding of stock broking and associated services, with knowledge of UK stock transfer processes and relevant regulatory requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in a transfers, settlements, or operations role within financial services

  • Proven ability to manage complex, exception-based cases independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence to engage with clients, brokers, and senior internal stakeholders

  • Exposure to AI tools or automation technologies, and an interest in applying them to drive process improvement and operational efficiency

  • Experience mentoring junior team members and contributing to operational change or platform implementation projects is desirable

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, JSM, or TeX is advantageous

  • Ability to assess situations quickly and act without waiting to be directed, working effectively under pressure and approaching challenges with a constructive, resolution-focused mindset

  • Willing to work across shifts and support the team beyond core responsibilities during peak periods

How we work

We try to take a thoughtful approach to our ways of working as a company. We follow a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office – which we think balances the need to collaborate effectively and connect with each other. When it comes to how we deliver, there are 5 things we want everyone to do to drive high performance, better learning and career satisfaction:

  • Lead and Inspire: Drives trust, alignment, and enthusiasm

  • Think Big: Focus on the problems that most impact commercial outcomes

  • Champion the client: Understand and prioritise client's needs

  • Deliver at pace: Push for fast, sustainable growth;

  • Raise the bar: Take ownership, be accountable and share feedback

We believe that diversity is vital to success, it fuels creativity, drives innovation and sets us up for global success. We’re committed to building teams with a variety of perspectives and skills to help us realise our vision and strategy, that’s why we encourage applications from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences to join us on this journey.
