Vehicle Supply Base Capacity Planning Analyst
In this position...
• You will serve as the primary link between forecasted sales requirements and actual manufacturing execution. Your mission is to develop precise vehicle and part-level volumes (APW/MPW), identify potential supply chain bottlenecks, and drive cross-functional alignment to ensure seamless vehicle production and successful product launches.
• You will be at the heart of the company’s manufacturing strategy, directly influencing how we bring vehicles to market. This role offers high visibility, the opportunity to solve complex global challenges, and a clear path for professional growth within the Supply Chain and Operations organizations.
What you will do ...
- Volume Development: Develop and maintain vehicle volumes and market allocations based on Final Program Volume (FPV) data.
- Capacity Analysis: Conduct comprehensive 'Confirm' and 'What-If' capacity studies to communicate requirements to the supply base and evaluate the impact of potential volume shifts.
- Constraint Management: Proactively identify commodity constraints and manufacturing gaps. Work cross-functionally to resolve issues that could affect launch timelines or planned production mixes.
- Change Management: Manage complex changes in vehicle volumes, feature rates, product definitions, and Bills of Materials (BOM) to eliminate supply risks.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead consensus meetings with Sales and Marketing teams to align market demand requests with manufacturing capabilities.
- Supply Gap Resolution: Analyze and bridge the gap between 'Free Demand' and 'Funded Supplier Capacity,' ensuring supplier investments align with long-term forecasted needs.
You'll have...
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in capacity planning, supply chain analysis, or manufacturing operations (automotive experience preferred).
- Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in data analysis and modeling. Ability to translate complex data sets into actionable supply chain strategies.
- Communication: Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to drive consensus among diverse stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, and Engineering).
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) and experience with ERP/PLM software.
Even better, you may have...
- Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) management and product definition logic.
- Familiarity with APW (Average Production Weekly) and MPW (Maximum Production Weekly) concepts.
- Knowledge of vehicle launch processes and automotive manufacturing constraints.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
