Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced MS Access VBA Developer with strong expertise in Microsoft Access application development, VBA scripting, SQL Server integration, and Power BI reporting solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing enterprise-level database applications, creating dashboards and KPI reports, automating data workflows, and supporting production/database operations. The candidate should be capable of working independently, handling cross-functional technical support activities, and delivering scalable reporting and database solutions. Key Responsibilities <ul> <li>Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using Microsoft Access and VBA.</li> <li>Design and write complex queries in MS Access.</li> <li>Create and maintain VBA modules, reusable functions, and automation scripts.</li> <li>Develop and customize Access Forms, Reports, and Macros.</li> <li>Integrate MS Access applications with SQL Server using ODBC connectivity.</li> <li>Execute SQL Server Stored Procedures from Access applications.</li> <li>Implement robust exception handling, debugging, and logging mechanisms in VBA.</li> <li>Develop interactive dashboards, KPI reports, and analytical reports using Power BI.</li> <li>Work with Power BI Desktop, DAX, Power Query Editor, and data modeling.</li> <li>Create and maintain ETL workflows using SSIS packages.</li> <li>Execute SSIS packages through SQL jobs and VBA code automation.</li> <li>Support database operations, production deployment activities, and issue resolution.</li> <li>Work with BAT files and Windows Task Scheduler for automation processes.</li> <li>Collaborate with business users and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.</li> <li>Ensure database performance optimization, data integrity, and application reliability.</li> <li>Maintain technical documentation and deployment procedures.</li> </ul> Required Skills MS Access & VBA <ul> <li>4+ years of hands-on experience in MS Access VBA development.</li> <li>Strong expertise in VBA scripting and automation.</li> <li>Experience in designing and writing complex Access queries.</li> <li>Experience creating Forms, Reports, Modules, Macros, and Functions.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of error handling and debugging techniques in VBA.</li> </ul> SQL Server & Database Skills <ul> <li>Experience with ODBC SQL Server connections.</li> <li>Hands-on experience executing SQL Server Stored Procedures.</li> <li>Good knowledge of MS SQL Server and T-SQL.</li> <li>Understanding of relational database concepts and performance optimization.</li> </ul> Power BI <ul> <li>Strong experience in Power BI Dashboard and Report development.</li> <li>Experience creating KPI dashboards and analytical reports.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with:</li> <ul> <li>Power BI Desktop</li> <li>DAX</li> <li>Power Query Editor</li> <li>Data Modeling</li> </ul> </ul> Additional / Preferred Skills SSIS (Added Advantage) <ul> <li>Knowledge of SSIS package development and execution.</li> <li>Experience executing SSIS packages via SQL jobs and VBA code.</li> <li>Understanding of ETL processes and data integration workflows.</li> </ul> Automation & Scheduling <ul> <li>Knowledge of BAT file scripting.</li> <li>Experience with Windows Task Scheduler automation.</li> </ul> Collaboration & Tools <ul> <li>Knowledge of SharePoint and MS Forms.</li> <li>Familiarity with JIRA ticketing system.</li> </ul> Cloud & Infrastructure <ul> <li>Basic knowledge of AWS services.</li> <li>Knowledge of FTP/SFTP file transfer processes.</li> </ul> Candidate Profile <ul> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.</li> <li>Flexible to support production deployments and database operations.</li> <li>Ability to provide cross-functional technical support as required.</li> <li>Good communication and stakeholder management skills.</li> </ul> Educational Qualification <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion">GHX: It's the way you do business in healthcare Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX) enables better patient care and billions in savings for the healthcare community by maximizing automation, efficiency and accuracy of business processes.
