Business Function

The Strategy and Planning team, under Transformation, Data, Strategy and Planning (TDSP), develop and frame the TW strategic priorities, drive One Bank initiatives to advance TW3.0, and provide management support.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and frame the TW strategic priorities

  • Develop the strategic priorities of the calendar year and frame the key strategic areas of focus into a Taiwan Scorecard.
  • Track the progress and achievement of Taiwan performance against the Scorecards and prepare mid-year/annual assessments of such achievements for consideration by the CEO, senior management and Board at the end of the calendar year.
  • Collaborate with Research team to issue monthly North Asia newsletter, providing industry update and local development across 3 markets to CEOs, to enable seniors to develop corresponding strategy or actionable items.
  • Refine the DBS Taiwan 3.0 Strategy to reflect evolving business priorities
  • Generate data‑driven strategic insights to strengthen market radar & external intelligence
  • Curate thematic workshops and support workstreams (e.g., SBLC issuance by CBG) in developing execution pathways for the strategic priorities

2. One Bank initiative to drive TW3.0

  • Launch new data initiatives to unlock BU referral/CWM opportunities
  • Streamline lead generation to accelerate and scale cross-BU referral opportunities
  • Enhance the One Bank Cheat Sheet along with Solution Playbook to strengthen RM cross‑product knowledge
  • Increase RM awareness and participation in IBG × CBG collaboration

3. Management support

  • Manage external engagements for the CEO, including content and format recommendations to external parties including MAS (ABM and Sup College), Regulator’s request/update (such as BB, BA, and FEB), and School visit (if any);
  • Prepare and recommend contents of CEO decks for quarterly board meetings, results, internal townhalls, local leadership conference and ad-hoc internal communications; and
  • Write and prepare the contents including but not limited to DBS Group Annual Report/External Rating Agent Report/External Awards, demonstrating how execution of strategy and business models leads to value creation.
  • Manage the CEO’s regular management meetings, including the setting of the agendas for discussion as these include key decisions to be made for the organization, and updates on initiatives and events within the organization including monthly MC meetings, country/budget review preparation, GMC meeting preparation, and ad-hoc management support.

4. COO Priorities

  • Support the COO on strategic initiatives and assigned priorities

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in banking or financial services, management consulting, or related industries
  • Strong business acumen with ability to build and manage working-level partnerships
  • Experience engaging stakeholders across functions, regions, and seniority levels to support delivery
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and guide specialists as needed
  • Strong growth mindset; adaptable, self-driven, and able to operate in ambiguity
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
