Job Summary:
About the Role & Program
As a member of the Transportation Logistics & Analytics team, the Intern is responsible for gathering and analyzing a variety of data, visualizing the data into a cohesive and compelling story, and then delivering that story to key partners to influence strategic decisions and drive the business forward.
Candidates should be curious, think proactively, be eager to solve complex problems, and have a strong instinct to act. Experience in influencing and partnering with others is an important attribute as is the ability to balance multiple priorities and manage time appropriately. The Transportation Logistics & Analytics team is a fun, energetic, and close-knit team that is proud of the vital role they play and wants to share that passion with others!
This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from January 2027 – June 2027
What You Will Do
Analyze diverse datasets using multiple tools and forecasting models, while maintaining and enhancing existing tools and creating new models as needed
Build efficient SQL queries and Snowflake tables to support scalable analytics
Create visualizations using Tableau that effectively and succinctly summarize analysis and recommendations to tell the necessary story
Present updates and recommendations to key partners, including executives
Partner with multiple teams, including Transportation Engineering Services, Industrial Engineering, Finance and Workforce Management
Required Qualifications & Skills
Positive approach with a focus on how to accomplish the tasks at hand
Demonstrated ability to streamline data pipelines and support the automation of data process for efficiency and maintainability
Superb written and oral communication skills, as well as experience developing presentations
Proven strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to balance multiple demands and competing priorities in a complex business environment
Works well in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Resourceful and proactive, with an ability to leverage existing partnerships or forge new relationships to navigate complex situations
Candidates must have a valid U.S. Driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience with Python programming languages
Experience with cloud-based storage software like Snowflake
Knowledge of SAS or SQL programming
Experience with Tableau or PowerBI visualization techniques
Education
Junior or Senior year preferred
Major or previous coursework in Logistics, Supply Chain Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or related major preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization.
Additional Information
This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from January 2027 – June 2027.
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, FL area.
Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work with a personal vehicle, including travel to various locations across the Walt Disney World property throughout the day.
