What you’ll do and what success looks like:
This role offers a fast-growing, multi-faceted opportunity to develop big-picture thinking and gain exposure to senior management. In this role, you will:
Support the Financial Planning & Analysis function of the Bank and contribute to strategic decision-making:
- Perform financial analysis, profitability assessment, and industry benchmarking to provide insights on banking products, business performance, and operational efficiency
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Risk, Marketing, and other business teams on new business initiatives and strategic projects
- Support the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term planning processes, including financial modelling, scenario analysis and monitoring of key business KPIs
- Prepare monthly performance reviews and variance analyses across both the P&L and Balance Sheet, identifying key drivers of performance and communicating insights to senior management
- Assist in capital planning, ICAAP stress testing, balance sheet optimization, and monitoring of key regulatory ratios of the Bank
- Contribute to management presentations, business cases, and strategic recommendations for executive stakeholders
What is required and what we’re looking for:
Candidate is expected to have:
- A strong interest in banking, finance, and business strategy, with a desire to develop a broad understanding of balance sheet management, profitability, capital planning, and financial performance
- An adaptable and proactive mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Strong ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, supported by a strong track record of academic and/or professional achievement
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, banking, consulting, or data-driven business analytics. Candidates with more extensive experience will be considered for the Assistant Manager position
- Proficiency in Excel and financial modelling; experience with data analytics and visualization tools is an advantage
- Progress toward or completion of professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, FRM, or Data Analytics certifications is preferred
- Strong communication skills in either English or Chinese; candidates with proficiency in both languages are highly encouraged to apply
