This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in one of the following locations: Palmdale, CA / Edwards AFB, CA / Redondo Beach, CA / El Segundo, CA / San Diego, CA. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Product Support organization. The selected candidate will implement and maintain the smooth operation and physical design of databases, ensuring reliable performance and availability. Other duties include: * Conducting performance tuning of indexes and databases in general to optimize efficiency and responsiveness * Reviewing database design and integration of systems, providing backup and recovery support, and recommending enhancements and/or improvements * Maintaining security and integrity controls to safeguard data and database environments * Formulating and enforcing policies, procedures, and standards related to database management * Monitoring transaction activity and utilization to ensure effective resource usage and system stability * Developing stored procedures and/or triggers, as needed, to support application and system requirements This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Database Administrator (Level 1) or Database Administrator (Level 2). Pay Range * Associate Database Administrator (Level 1): $69,400.00 to $104,000.00 * Database Administrator (Level 2): $83,400.00 to $125,200.00 Primary Level Salary Range: $69,400.00 - $104,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
