Content liability
We are not responsible for content that appears on your website. You agree to protect us against any claims arising on your website. No link should appear that may be interpreted as libelous, obscene, or otherwise unlawful.
Privacy
We collect the email and password you provide on sign-up, the interview answers you submit during onboarding, and the resume file you upload. Your resume is stored in a private bucket scoped to your account; we never share it. We use Supabase for storage and authentication, Anthropic Claude for resume parsing, and PostHog for product analytics (only when configured).
Chat and the copilot
When you use chat, your message, the job data needed to answer it, and — if you are signed in — your interview answers are sent to Anthropic to generate a reply. The application copilot sends more: the profile and resume summary it needs to draft on your behalf. We do not store your chat history on our servers; a conversation lives in your browser tab and is gone when you close it. Our MCP endpoint serves public job data, requires no account, and keeps no queries. Searches you deliberately save are covered below.
Analytics
When analytics is configured we record page views and a small set of named product events — that a resume was uploaded (its size and file type, never its contents), that onboarding finished, that the copilot was used, that an application was submitted. Automatic capture and session recording are both switched off, and we strip the text you type into the search boxes out of the page addresses we record, so your searches are not stored in analytics. None of it is linked to your account.
Where job listings come from
Listings are collected from employers' own public career systems, and a few reach us through the National Labor Exchange where an employer's own site is closed to us; the job page says which. The posting history we show — when we first saw a listing, or where we were not watching from the start, when we first recorded it, and how many times we have since found it still listed — is our own observation of a public posting. The employer's own claimed posting date is shown separately and labelled as theirs. If something there looks wrong, write to corrections@waitwhatdoyoudo.com and we will look into it.
When you apply
Submitting an application sends what the employer's hiring system asks for — your contact details, your answers to their questions, and your resume — directly to that system (Greenhouse, Recruitee and similar). That is what applying is, but it means your details leave us and are then handled under the employer's own privacy terms, not ours.
Saved searches
If you save a search we keep the wording of it so we can re-run it for you, and you can delete a saved search from your dashboard at any time.
We email you only for things you ask for: a sign-in link when you request one, and password or account messages. We do not currently send marketing email.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account data until you ask us to remove it. Email privacy@waitwhatdoyoudo.com to get a copy of what we hold, or to delete your account and everything attached to it. Deleting your resume means all of it: the uploaded file, the parsed copy we cache, and the details it filled into your profile. There is no self-serve delete button yet, so a request by email is the way to do it today.
Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all representations, warranties, and conditions relating to our website. We do not warrant that the site is correct, complete, or available, and we will not be liable for any loss or damage of any nature arising from its use.

If you find any link or content on the site that you would like removed, contact us. We consider all removal requests but are not obligated to fulfill them.
