Our Summer Analyst Programme is aimed at penultimate year students and is designed to provide a unique insight into global world of finance. Summer Analysts will observe and experience the whole business development process with Japanese customers located in the UK, from client marketing to credit analysis as well as interaction with support functions like operations.

What to Expect

Our 10-week Summer Analyst programme is designed to provide you with a unique insight into investment banking. Starting off with a week of technical training, you’ll gain a deep understanding of our products and markets. Then armed with this knowledge, you will have the opportunity to join our team:

  • Prepare business proposals and presentation materials, with opportunities to accompany Relationship Managers to client meetings.
  • Support ongoing credit analysis by drafting credit applications, completing borrower ratings and gathering information to monitor the credit portfolio.
  • Assist with day-to-day operational activities in line with internal procedures.
  • Collaborate with teams across Operations, Markets, Transaction Banking and Credit to respond to client requests and contribute to internal meetings.

As part of a select intake, you will have the opportunity to learn from some of the experienced professionals in the corporate banking industry and will be allocated a buddy to make sure you have all the support to get the most out of the Summer Analyst Programme

Our Summer Analyst Programme serves as a pipeline into the full-time MUFG Analyst Programme, and successful interns may receive an offer to join the full-time Analyst Programme the following year.
