This position supports the preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow) in accordance with Local GAAP. Ensures assigned activities are completed accurately and within established timelines, following defined processes. Supports the resolution of reconciling items and works collaboratively with internal stakeholders. Contributes to timely and accurate deliverables, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and local tax regulations
Responsibilities:
- Leads general accounting activities in one or more accounting systems
- Prepare journal entries with supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Support various accounting activities during the month-end close process.
- Provide financial information by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing standard reports.
- Maintain records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Support the review and tracking of external and intercompany billing information in financial systems, ensuring compliance with Local GAAP and accounting policies.
- Assist in the processing of intercompany transactions in Oracle.
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as assigned.
- Execute and help lead month-end close
- Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and issue resolution.
- Assist in the preparation of financial results for management.
- Evaluate monthly financial statements and create additional supplemental reports
- Support the preparation and interpretation of financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations, ensuring alignment with established guidelines
- Provide accounting support to the Accounting Manager in day-to-day activities and reporting processes.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders on routine accounting matters, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Support with compliance with Local governmental rules and regulations
- Support in responding to questions and requests from government entities and internal and external auditors.
- Support in preparing the monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for legal local purposes (tax, labor, and legal). As well as preparing and releasing procedures at government agencies.
- Register and control foreign trade transactions and transactions with related parties (Prepare the files and tax/accounting backup for review).
Required and Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in general accounting with 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
- Experience in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow and disclosures, in accordance with local GAAP.
- Experience performing balance sheet reconciliations, particularly for tax, inventory, and cost of sales accounts.
- Experience in multinational environments, supporting monthly and annual close processes and reporting to headquarters (HQ).
- Experience in tax compliance and reporting, including preparation of direct and indirect taxes, monthly and annual returns, and informative filings in accordance with local regulations.
- Experience working in electronic accounting reports.
- Experience supporting internal and external audits by providing documentation and follow-up.
- Basic accounting and tax knowledge of payroll, social security, REPSE, transfer price and international trade compliance requirements (desired).
- Experience in the use of ERP´s (Oracle – desired).
- Good experience using Microsoft Excel for hands-on data analysis.
- English: intermediate.
